99% of my trips here are to play volleyball. And thats what makes this place great. Its one of the few places around Indy that have really well maintained beach volleyball courts. They have put a lot into making the volleyball courts and the tiki bar a great atmosphere. Everything is well beyond what you would expect. The food is always great. Its all made in house and you can tell. Ive met the head chef and he truly cares about the quality of the food and surpassing peoples expectations. Honestly, the bowling is the least interesting part of this place for me. Not that the lanes are no good, because bowling here is every bit of fun. I just really appreciate that the focus here is on creating a good experience, no matter if youre here to bowl, play some volleyball or just have a few drinks and get a bite.

Groupon makes it a great deal, yes. However, we have found Pinheads to be more "league-friendly" than "family-friendly." We went to use the groupon and it was too close to league hours for us to play. Hubby left work early a different day to try again and they STILL said it was close to league play time. We managed to convince them that the time wed need would be sufficient enough to NOT conflict and proceeded to play. This was our 2nd time actually bowling here. The first time (years ago, now) was pretty expensive. Pizza not that great, over priced, took WAY too long to cook. The "playground" area for little kids is too expensive also. Doubt well be back. Too many restrictions on Pinheads part. Rather pricey.

We had a birthday party there for my son who turned 13, and 6 of his friends. We had a server who was just awesome. He took care of the boys the entire time and had fun with them. We ordered a couple of pizzas, which were some of the best pizzas Ive had. Very surprising for bowling alley food. He also brought the soft drinks and made sure we had plenty the entire time. After bowling, we went to the arcade and the boys loved that too. Just a great time and great service. I guess you could say it was a little pricey, so I wouldnt do it for every birthday, but very pleased with everything about this!

Believe it or not we had a small wedding reception in one of their bowling suits. It worked out great. Would have been more relaxed if we could have gotten into the suite earlier for set-up (policy is only 15 min prior to event). Staff very attentive during event; planning was a little painful. Would not recommend dining with a group of 20 in their restaurant (Alleys Alehouse). Even with our limited selection of 3 choices, several orders were mixed up and long wait for some. Impressive family-style salad as appetizer!

Clean, bright, fun play place. Good food, bar area, kid-friendly. Modern bowling lanes allow for bumpers to raise or lower by player. Ticket arcade section. My one complaint is that they reserve the bowling stands for handicap people only. They should allow kids to use them when not needed by disabled persons and invest in more. We had to call the attendant no less than five times to retrieve our ball during one game because our four year old couldnt roll hard enough to travel the lane.

Great potential. Mismanaged beyond belief!! Tried on several occasions to set up group meetings or events & never get return phone call or they say OK and when we show up, they arent prepared (poor communication). Manager is NEVER around or always "on the other line", but never returns voice mail. Have never actually spoken to him, always diverted to underlings. Its a shame because the place is always empty (surprise).

I was there last Friday and had a blast. The place was clean overall, and the staff was friendly. My only issue as with some kid working at the cafeteria counter, he was talking to some kids which, I assume he knew, and as soon as he saw us trying to order he gave us the most annoyed look ever. But overall I really liked this place and Ill come back when I get a chance.

This place is a buzzing hub of activity and fun. Something to do for everyone. If you want a real treat rent out the VIP suites... its like your own private bowling alley/lounge. My only gripe is that it is a pretty far drive from Brownsburg... Im hoping someday they branch out and open a WESTSIDE location. I would certainly spend a lot of time there if they did.

Two different skeet ball machines reduced my ball count during the game which lead to points not being counted which lead to my four year old son beating me two times at this game! For that reason alone I can only give Pinheads three stars. Fix your arcade machines folks. Now my son wont stop reminding me that he beat me at skeet ball!

Nice building. The pro shop is good. However, if you are interested in really bowling - dont go here. The lanes were oiled to the point were my ball was not getting any action at all. I was told the lanes were oiled that morning. If you want to take the kids to just have fun, this is the place. Avid bowlers avoid this location.

Loved the private VIP rooms, we were able to control what music we wanted to listen to and had a nice private area from the rest of the bowling alley. Afterwards we headed to the bar lounge, Louies for some great live music and drink specials. Made for a great and inexpensive evening and late night. Look forward to doing it again.

Lots of fun! Great for toddlers and up. Game room is fun and tickets are a fair trade. Bowling is some of the best around. I played on a team a few years back and had a stellar time! Great group of people working there, the food is great, and the beer is cold, the place is clean. What more can you ask for?

The restaurant within the bowling alley is surprisingly good, definitely better than youd expect. The place itself is very nice. The only thing that can get annoying is that is occasionally a problem with getting the ball weight with the right grip for myself, but thats very minor. Overall, great.

I love this place! They have some bowling suites where you can host events and we rented one of the rooms for my sons bday party. My boys and their friends loved it and the updated arcade area is tremendous. Their food is excellent as well. Would highly rcommend!

It is a fun place, but expensive. After we bowled then my son wanted to play at the arcade. For 3 people to bowl plus I had a coupon for buy 2 games get 2 free I spent over $30. Plus food and drinks another $30. Plus arcade another $30. There is $100.

If I only rated this place based on bowling quality , Id give it a 5, it even has cool restaraunt and arcade area. But the problem here is the wait is always crazy. Your lucky if you can get a lane, and its not cheap.
