Severance Bane

This water park is amazing. Its great for the kids and myself. There are some things, but Im not sure its anything the park can fix, really. Ill list them, but please dont let them deter you from visiting, just be sure to prepare or notify a staff member. Firstly, the pavement between attractions can get very hot. As I said, not sure anything can be done about that. Secondly, the lines are rather long. Again, these are likely issues at every water park, ESPECIALLY the better ones. Lastly, and this one bothered me.. I would not let my woman or my daughter go alone to the lines for any of the rides. People, usually kids but sometimes adults, will literally push you out of the way. Now, Im not a small guy so I was able to stop them in their tracks. But a single mom or something like that.. Oy. The worst location for that is the kid area with all the nets and the two slides. I was there today and there were adults pushing kids out of the way for their kids. Once I was in line, o threw my arm up to stop him. I thought for a second he was going to cause a scene, but he decided to just wait behind me and my girls. I dont know if theres a chance to have that monitored every so often or not, but just knowing that the staff has a presence there for that sole reason, would probably have an impact. Let me lastly say that these are my only complaints. The park is clean, the staff is nice, the food is decent (its obviously not a sit down diner), the attractions are fun and organized, and the parking is free. What more could you ask for? TRY THE DIPPING DOTS!

Lets see start out by saying spontaneously I decided that few weeks ago after work to get bags packed book a hotel and just get away with the family for the weekend. I choose this water park for the ratings and was only a 4 hour drive away man I was miss leaded. My kids younger ones were treated with kindness and as little kids. My teenage girls were hit on by too many of the employees their and felt uncomfortable with in the first hour we arrived. Comments little as nice bathing suit to the more extreme nice body parts then asked for phone numbers. Then same comments to my soon to be wife. Not just the place to get away and enjoy yourself let loose hang out with the family of your a family of girls and one man. Yes. I have 4 kids all girls and my fiance. So thats 5 women to 1 male. My older kids 18,16 wanted to leave with in only their for 2 hours and my girl was not too long after. But I didnt let that take away from us I just went back to the hotel and drove to lake Michigan and finished our little getaway thier. I keep my mouth shut thier because it was the respectful thing to due for the other familys thier. Just dont understand is it okay for your employees to think it is okay to jump on it as soon as they see beauty or is it a game to them while we egnored and they laugh at the moment whIle we walked away. Keep the discounted tickets to come back or any offer to do so unless you get some respectful males to work in your establishment.

WORST WATER PARK EVER !! This was my worst experience going to a water park or any where else. I took some members of my family who were visiting me from Houston. This place does not have enough huts, picnic tables or at least umbrellas, benches or chairs to accommodate the people. On this hot/sunny summer day, we had to seat and eat under a water slide tower with other peoples water dropping over us. Park closes at 6pm. (too early for the money they charge). They shut the water off at 6pm in the showers too. They kick you out of the park like a dog. We all left the water park & stayed in the parking lot chatting. Suddenly, my 2 youngest sons needed to use the toilet. One nice employee let me in with no problem. One of my sons used the toilet, but the other one did not make it, and all his lower body was full of you know what. I had to call my wife for help. It took us a while to clean our sons mess. On my way out, a different employee asked us why we were in the park still. I tried to explain to him what had happened. He did not listen nor care. He treated me like a criminal & told me to get out of his property. I stayed calm & took my sons to the car with the rest of the family. I knew I had to do something. I went back & asked for the main person in charge. And, guess who came out ......>>> The same young idiot with cocky attitude who kicked me out. I received no apologies. So, I will never-ever go again to this place.

I was at the water park last week. Overall, I liked the visit, thanks to the warm weather (finally!). The atmosphere was relaxed, staff is friendly. The rides were good too, although there were not lots of them. The park has two lazy rivers while many parks have only one. They also let you take outside drinks and food inside, which is a definite plus. The place is clean too. Things that can be changed: The wave pool was not upto the mark. On one side of the pool there were no waves - that explained why all the people were crowding on the other side. Even on the side where the waves were being generated, they were weak. I have been to other parks where the action is real good and you get deeper crests and trough. I went to a food joint where they sell funnel cake, ice cream etc. It took me 30 minutes to get my ice cream. What a terrible waste of time! There were only 2 people helping in there and the service was slow. The quality of the food was so-so. I also wish they stayed open later than 6pm. Currently they close at 6pm which is a disappointment :( The park could use couple more rides, but I believe they are constructing another one. Let us hope it will be a good one. It will also be nice to have cozy, private cabanas like in some other parks. It is a good place to go under the right weather conditions for the money charged.

Went for a private event there with my family and had some fun but HATED n got into an argument a a very rude employee and when i reported her no action was taken....she had no right to be so rude to me and my 8 yr old daughter....have very little trust in the staff and would not recommend to anyone as long as the brunette liifeguard still works there. I spoke to a gentleman manager who just defended the rude woman instead of trying to fix the problem. My family n i r very disppointed by the staff n hope all families out there go to deep river waterpark with caution n know that u may not be treated woth respect, kindness, or anything of that sort. Just rude mean n out right nasty attitude staff!!!!
