Lovely view of Fox River, and nice spot for bands to perform. Children enjoyed that lower path was under water so played in water with their dogs. Not sure if Fox River is potable water... so might not be wise to have kids playing in it... also swift current and no lifeguards. Seems lacking public restrooms are an issue- basics like as a freeway rest stop should be added. A bit chaotic for visitors as several areas under construction are not well marked (no signage) and are cordoned off in sort of a random way... Maybe the storms / high water levels resulted in the makeshift barriers?

Beautiful park along the Fox River in downtown Yorkville. It is also along the whitewater chute that allows kayakers and canoeists to practice in a fast water rapids environment. You can also fish here by one of the few remaining step dams or just enjoy the riverine wildlife and natural beauty of the location. Its one of my favorite spots to take wildlife pictures as we see a lot of egrets, herons, cranes, and cormorants fishing in the shallow waters of the Fox River.

I absolutely love what Yorkville has done with their downtown area! This park is perfect to stroll around. If your nostalgic, you can bring a lock to but your name on and put it on the bridge, just like they do in Paris. The bridge leads you down to the walkway they built out on the river. It is lovely and cool to see.

City of Yorkville, Illinoiss Bicentennial park is beautiful with the Fox River that runs through it. The city has put in great effort to improve the access for water enthusiasts by creating rapids for kayaking on one side and the dam is a "rush" on the other.

The Yak Shak kayak, inner tube rental,Foxys Ice Cream,and Rowdys Bar &Grill(burgers are excellent) all right nearby,this park is my favorite!! Whitewater Bypass,nice bridge,installing a playground now,gazebos,tables,benches,fishing...they got it all!

Watch out for mother goose sitting on her eggs - the father goose will attack you if/when you get near her. Father goose flew at my face when I got too close by accident to old mother goose - I was almost very scared half to death. Good luck.

They need to mark the ramps with traffic paint and signage for people like me in wheel chairs. I noticed almost every ramp had a vehicle parked in the way. I actually cussed at someone after watching them block a ramp I was about to use.

Great place for walking and taking pics. Nice cool river air during the summer and decent during the winter. Several local / Yorkville events / concerts are organized here.

It was a really cool area. Go to Crusade Burgers and then go get some ice cream and walk at the park for a bit. Make sure you bring bug spray if it is the season.

Good spot for smallmouth bass if you know how to catch them, if you dont enjoy the hamburgers or chicken. Dont worry about the mother goose or father fox. Okay?

Great place to spend an afternoon boating or gushing. A couple of local resteraunt are nearby and provide a great spot to relax on a nice afternoon

Its beautiful and clean. Lots of benches and tables to relax, or bring a blanket and sit in the grass!
