This place is a DUMP. Absolutely the worst RV Park I have ever seen. There are broken down RVs throughout the park. They have flat tires, theyre covered with mold or tarps, they have broken windows and they have people living in them! I understand that the less fortunate people need a place to live. But these guys try to pass this park off as a great place by making up fake 5 star reviews! There are broken down cars too. One has broken out windows and it has been used as a dumpster. The people who work at the park are a bunch of drunks. One actually threatened to turn his dogs loose on me for taking pictures. I wasnt planning on posting them. But after he did that, I decided to share them with the world. There is nothing peaceful about this place! You will hear chain saws running off and on all day, fireworks going off until 2 and 3 in the morning, even morters... Yes, morters! And the park security doesnt do anything about it. You will also hear acid rock music at all hours. REALLY LOUD MUSIC! If you are one who enjoys an occasional nap in the afternoon, forget it! You wont get a nap while youre here! Also, one of the park employees and his girlfriend have vulgar screaming arguments at all odd hours too. So, if you bring your kids, theyll learn a whole bunch of new words! Maybe you will too! Now to the sites... There is poison ivy all over the place, the sites are not level, the roads are full of potholes, you have to share the water at the sites because there arent enough water faucets to go around, sometimes there are 4 sites on one faucet, really low water pressure, the 50amp service consists of two 30amp breakers jumpered together... Can you say "Fire Hazard"? So, when running your A/C on hot days, the breakers keep tripping because you really only have two 30amp services... The power was shut off three times while we were there and the water was off 4 times. There is a leash policy for pets... But it isnt enforced. We had dog crap in our site and dogs were peeing on our BBQ and the tires on our truck. So, take a close look at the 5 Star Reviews and read between the lines... "Park security didnt throw us out for being loud past quiet time"... And this one is classic... " There is a restaurant close by that is a great place to recover from a hang over"... !!! Really?! Unbelievable!!! If I could rate negative stars for this DUMP, I would! This place should be condemned!

DO NOT STAY HERE! We made reservations from 1700 miles away because of traveling for work and this was one of the only parks in the area that was open through the winter. We arrived to drive through a campground with HUNDREDS of run down, appearing to be abandoned campers. It appears the owner is a camper hoarder! When we tried to check in, we had to wait 20 minutes for the owner of the campground to show us to our spot because "no one else could." While waiting we saw several people who looked to be employees drive laps around the area, in dirty/unprofessional clothing, and talk about how "messed up they got last night." When the owner finally arrived, we were shown around to spots, we drove by a patched up trailer with a sign reading, "tattoos here." It was so sketchy we opted to risk having nowhere to stay rather than staying here. A quote from my friend, "I wouldnt even want to leave my truck/trailer unattended here, let alone my wife." Unless you are interested in meth, looking like a hobo, or getting a HIV infused tattoo, I wouldnt recommend it.

I am staying here at this camp grounds till I find some where else to stay. The extended stay area looks like an RV junk yard. They own a lot of campers that they rent out and are so trashy that some of them have tarps over the top of them I guess because they must leak. I have been here for over two weeks and they cant seem to fix their WIFI even though they say it works. They are not very helpful in fixing this issue so that Wi-Fi is available while in your camper. Their fix to the problem was that I should just bring my computer up to their office to do my work that I have to do every day since I work on the road. If this review would let me put pictures in it I would and you could see for yourself how junky it looks in the extended stay area of this RV park. At my camp site they dont have enough water hook ups so there are 3 of us campers hooked up to the same water faucet so the water pressure sucks half the time. Dont waste your time and money if you think you want to stay here for an extended time.

GUN SHOTS AT 3AM & SHERIFFS HAD TO SWARM IN. We decided to do a last minute camping weekend. Holy S*** did we ever make a mistake by going here. 1 polite office person the rest of the employees looked like Meth heads (seriously not kidding) Sunk in faces, bad teeth, eyes sagging, it was like something you would see in a horror movie. Theyre rude, and tweaking out, sketchy, twitchy, and talking to themselves, very uncomfortable to be around. There were over 12 gun shots at 3am from one area than another few shots fired from a different direction. Sounded like a war was going to break out. Sheriffs rolled in spotlights beaming everywhere and several people left in the middle of the night. It was like a mass exodus. There was Garbage everywhere, no accountability, people set up where ever, and leave their garbage behind. Probably because theyre all running for their lives in the middle of the night! Stay away seriously a horrible place

I have been going to this camp site every summer since 1997. I LOVE it!!! Yes the roads are bumpy and yes the showers could be a little cleaner but its camping and it is suppose to be a little dirty. Ive been bringing my kids here before they could walk. Staff is super friendly, anything you want they will accommodate. Lots of activities for the kids and adults from hay rides to live bands. This is the only campground that I have found that allows liquor and they DO have a curfew and if someone is violating that you can call the office and they will take care of it. The campers are awesome! I always meet the nices people & they are more than willing to help out. When I was going up there there wasnt anything to do outside of the camp. Now there is a Walmart, water park and lots of restaurants If your not expecting the Hilton of camps and just want to have a good time with awesome people then this is a great camp!. . .

If you just want to get away and you can handle swamps with tons of insects and you dont need any direction then this is your place. Mr Tom Tanner the owner, must see no need to clean up this campground nightmare. Mr. Tanner is only in this for his own pockets. He is never helpful about anything. Its all about $$$ when you talk to him about a problem. If you have kids DO NOT let them camp here. Too many broken glass everywhere, unsanitary, no garbage pick up and lots of loud music well into the morning. I camp here only because I dont know where else to go. If you decide to come bring lots of insect spray and food. Clean everything as soon as you get home. They have poison ivy all over. Its out of control and nobody is cutting it back.The prices here are high. $25 a night to camp "Primative". It is really pretty just overlook all the muck in the water. It Is Really Gross For Swimming.
