The staff was friendly to us the entire three years that we lived here. We rented out of The Highlands in Richmond. Id suggest the third floor since I understand the floors can be a bit thin, but we lived on the third floor. Few maintenance needs, but we were always serviced/repaired within one day, usually same day. Paid rent online, no issues. Moving out was made very easy by Lynn and Laura. Dogs/Cats are welcome and this is apparent in the complex. We love both so we enjoyed this. The only drawback to this complex is the distance from ANYTHING. The nearest 24/7 store is 10 miles away in Mchenry. (Walmart) Otherwise its about 10 miles to jewel, different direction. Or head into two for the local store. Vans. Which I highly recommend for fresh foods. Never had any issues, I imagine if you dont cause any, youll have an identical experience.

This place will take you for what youre worth. Make sure you read the fine print and know all the parking rules. The parking lot maintenance during the winter months is a joke. The local police and towing companies have the right to ticket you and tow you if you slip up even slightly. I would never recommend moving there. I learned my lesson. Its a shame because the units are nice but the management companies are unsatisfactory. If youre considering renting through Lakes Property Management, I would also steer clear of them. They know just about as much as you do about the property and rules… they have no clue. Every day living there I feared what was going to happen to me next (parking ticket, towed car, crazy neighbors (like really weird people live there) and stray cats everywhere). I WOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!

This place is great! Parking isnt an issue at all if you have the proper sticker on your car and park in the right areas (there are signs posted). Our neighbors have always been nice to us and any maintenance issues were fixed the next day with no trouble. The staff is always nice to us; and they send out letters plenty of time beforehand for any inspections, events, construction, etc. Of course you can hear other people through the floor . . . But its the same in any apartment building. The bathrooms are probably the loudest for us, but again; its what you should expect when you move into an apartment. Weve lived here for two years and it definitely feels more like a house than an apartment at this point!

This place is not good for old people, cuz I usually stay with my grandma often and there use to be people below us that were making so much noise and it was so horrible my Grandma does not like this place.

Well maintained. Relaxed feeling and very pleasing to the eye. Love the beautiful pond. Also, the staff and maintenance people are very easy going and sweet. Thanks a bunch! :)
