If you a person who enjoys high quality, hand-constructed cocktails, homemade food, seeing a menu that has been constructed by a private chef that is hired out to do just that, and also have a longing for craft beers, then this IS your place. However, if you are looking for an establishment that serves "normal" ground beef tacos with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato only, you may find that Taco Bell may be a better option for your dining experience. The same goes for those who are disappointed about the lack of frozen mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and pizza puffs that you will find on every other suburban bar menu. If you are a person who enjoys drinks that utilize (daily) hand squeezed juices, homemade simple syrups, and pieces of fresh muddled fruits, you will indeed absolutely LOVE the signature cocktails and margaritas found on the menu. I can tell you this for a fact because management meets seasonally with mixologists that are sourced out of Chicago to design the signature drinks found on the menu. However, if $3.00 Sauza or Gyro based margaritas are your thing, then you most definitely will not enjoy The Black Sheeps supposedly "over-priced and over-rated cocktails" due to the fact that this establishment doesnt even carry bottom shelf or well liquors. For those complaining of prices, this means that the lowest grade vodka is absolut, the lowest grade whiskey is Jack Daniels, and Jose Cuervo for tequila in your $6.86 drink. Lastly, if you are a person who enjoys a bar that is consistently completely empty and always has unlimited amounts of unreserved tables available for seating on a Friday or Saturday night at 11pm, then this place is also not for you. However, if you would like to spend your Friday night listening to top touring bands and those found opening major festivals around the US (aka: Hairbangers Ball, Two White Crew, etc.) then you are in excellent hands! Actually, even more so since you can call and reserve tables ahead of time (for free) so that you WILL HAVE A PLACE TO SIT AND ENJOY SAID HIRED ENTERTAINMENT. *Again, all you have to do is call and reserve a table for free so that you will not have to move when the actual reserved party arrives to claim the table that has had their name taped on it for 4 hours. To wrap up, I would have to say that the best part of this establishment (besides the grouper tacos) is the fact that if for whatever reason you do not enjoy a drink or a meal item, you will get the problem solved by simply just telling the server/bartender. The staff is required to either replace, exchange, or take the item off your bill after informing management to insure that the food and/or drink was created properly. **More importantly, the management also wants you to feel comfortable trying new things and doesnt want you eating something you arent enjoying, ever. The same goes for service. Instead of keeping quiet about a bad experience until you are writing a review on your Yelp App, perhaps if you are having an unpleasant experience you can instead ask to speak with a manager. Complaints of this nature are taken very seriously and are always looked into. Instead of waiting to post about it later, let someone know so that the problem can be fixed in the now. With that being said....come on in so you can view all of the social disruption for yourself! If not, any rude Yelpers are more than welcome to sit in designated table in the front entrance.

This place is whack! I always road past this place on my way to Walmart and wanted to check it out. Waste of time and money. Went Saturday night and ugh... They card you at the door after a certain time, supposedly because they it turn into a nightclub at 10. When you walk in there is no one to greet you or a sign that states to seat yourself. Had to ask the bartender what to do. Once seated they have a drink menu on table but not a food menu. Waited 10 minutes before waitress came to table even then didnt give us a menu. She was a smarty pants in the beginning when I asked what your have to drink? She said its on the menu right there. Okay but everybody dont want alcohol all the time, so I just said water. Finally after 15 min another lady came a place the menu on the table. Waited another 10 min for waitress to come back to take out order. Had a phony attitude at that point, guess it dawn on her that she need to make a tip. Once we ordered still waited almost 15 mins before food was ready. The crazy part is the waitress take your order but you have to pick up from the food truck yourself. Whats the point? How about I order it from the food truck myself and save on giving this non wanting to work waitress a tip! When it was all said and done we came in right before 9 and didnt eat until 9:45. Was very disappointed because the food was NASTY!!! What a WASTE!!!!!!

The Black Sheep is quite a few steps above your normal Bar and Grill. The dining experience was very unique, the kitchen is designed to resemble a food truck! It is a very cute idea. It was a little confusing at first, because they do have servers who come up and take your order and bring you your drinks, but then you are given a buzzer which makes sheep noises when your food is ready, and we were told that we then go up to the food truck to get our own food, so I was a little confused on the tipping process. They have a great selection of local craft beers and the food was definitely not your typical bar food. We had a chicken quesadilla appetizer and it was unlike any quesadilla I have ever had in a bar, it was on par with the high end Mexican Restaurants. It was filled with fresh ingredients and had a great taste! I would definitely go again, and next time I am going to check out the patio seating which looked very nice.

Great atmosphere and even better food! A friend and I stopped in for a quick lunch and I was truly impressed, overall. The outside patio is gorgeous & I can definitely see myself spending my summer nights out there. They have a wide variety of great craft beer, which can be hard to find in the suburbs. I was also very intrigued by the unique cocktail menu and will have to try one next time because they sound delicious. As for the food, we werent too hungry so we asked the bartender for some recommendations. She was extremely friendly and helpful and suggested we try the tacos. We ordered the braised beef and fried grouper tacos, both of which were delicious and full of flavor. We ended up ordering another round of tacos because we couldnt get enough. I cant wait to go back and try more off the menu!

Had a christmas work party here with 30 plus people. Walked out for a smoke and when we came back in they tried to get us to pay a cover, we told them we had a party here and that we hat just walked out 10 min ago. We had to go get our server to vouch for us. Ive been to plenty of place before the cover starts and some one always stops you at the door to stamp your hand, these guys just let us walk past without saying a word and then gave us a very hard time about getting back in. Several other people from our party experienced the same thing and ended up paying a cover even though we were there since 5. Your goal should be to provide a place for people to get together and have a good time, not take advantage of your customers.
