This had to be the worst bar Ive ever been too! Very Ratchet and too Ghetto! The lack of respect and everything over priced, too much for a cover charge when nothing special happened! The owner was garbage and very disrespectful. Security was a joke and way too sloppy. My dear friend had choke marks around his neck and he was trampled by your security and was very badly hurt. Overall this place was complete crap and shouldnt even be opened anymore. Bad Vibes. Tables were uneven and leaning over about to break. Dont even get your moneys worth for drinks. For anyone reading this, I hope you takes this to consideration and avoid places like this!

Recently purchased a selection on Taco Tuesdays and was crazy impressed with, of all things, the chefs fish taco! Have tried this at other restaurants and decided it may not be my thing, but Hallelujah! This sharp/sweet/tart mango salsa was FABULOUS! This is now my new fav.....but only here! In our own downtown Elgin! Friendly, accommodating staff as well!

Nice place with very good site lines for shows. Not sure if this is the venues fault or the band, but the PA should have been set-up differently, those of us who were right in front of the stage had a horrible mix. Otherwise I really enjoyed this place, acceptable beer selection.

best experience ever at the smooth fox! They had wonderful music upstairs an downstairs. The kitchen was only open until 12:30 and they were so accommodating and made me food past the scheduled time. Such a blessing. I would recommend the smooth fox to anyone and everyone!!!!!

My daughter Keanna OQuinn sang here. They so graciously accommodated 30 people who I invited to come out. Seating was great. This was spur of the moment open mic. Thank you for allowing the kids, they had the opportunity of an on stage performance of a family member.

An okay place to get a drink and watch some local talent. The rooms acoustics were mediocre as all the sound was coming from the high ceilings. Did not have many beer selections. The floors were quite sticky as well.
