Both my husband and I are very happy we booked Space 1858 for our wedding. I was able to get a discount because I paid in full, and had my wedding on a Sunday which I suppose isnt a super popular option, especially in the dead cold of January in Chicago. I booked this venue about well in advance and ended up communicating with both Tiana and Christina (who is the current contact). I was thoroughly pleased with their customer service. They were more than accommodating and actually let us set up way earlier than I thought (but once again, I think because of the lack of events going on during the same week). The space is DEFINITELY a DIY location which worked out perfectly per my vision of how I wanted my wedding to look. The deposit was promptly refunded (as we paid it via a credit card) as the contract stated it would. We would definitely look into the space again for any future events we might host :)

Awesome venue and great staff to work with. The venue is just as lovely as the pictures, clean, and in a great location. Love the brick wall to add a little *something* to an otherwise blank slate - really gives it that "downtown loft" feel without the hefty price that often comes with those. Perfect for my sisters baby shower of about 50-60 guests this past weekend. The manager was helpful and made the entire process a breeze. There was a small issue with the sound system during our event and she was there in under 10 minutes to resolve the problem. Great customer service. Highly recommended!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! My event started 2 hours late because Tiana Washington booked someone else the same time she booked me. She said she would give me a partial refund and has ditched my calls and emails ever since. My guest stood outside as we all tried to set up. My baby shower was a complete disaster. I cried the entire time. This place is a joke, the owner is never around- you will never talk to him or meet him. BE CAREFUL! Just trying to help others out because I wish I wouldve gotten advice before I booked with the venue.

Beautiful place to have any event! My sister had an amazing fashion show/birthday celebration here and I will be utilizing this facility for my upcoming birthday celebration plus any other future events if the space is available. The staff are very professional and accommodating and lastly the prices are fabulous!
