Penny Road Pond is a wonderful place to bring your family or go alone to fish or spend time meditating in nature. This is one of the better forest preserves in the Cook County Forest Preserve network. The water is calm and ringed around by forest which you can explore via dirt trails through the trees. There are also several places where these trails veer off towards the water so you can stop and sit on a log or a picnic bench and enjoy the scenery. Give my regards!

Not the right time of year to come here and it was closing (at sunset) as I arrived. Nice area to relax but doesnt seem like there is much to do or explore. Might make a great picnic spot in warmer weather though.
