If you are looking for a quick Chattahoochee hike, you might consider this one. This is a nice bridge to reach the island where youll find a history marker and a boat put-in. There is also a bench on the island that would make for a peaceful place to hang out with a book. However, this is a main parking area/HQ for a river tubing/rafting company so the general area is sorta trashed. Depending on the day, you might find it somewhat crowded with their customers and all that goes with that. As for trails, they are pretty narrow so beware of poison ivy mid-summer...or just wear pants. There are also some ruins to explore around the trail mid-point.

Many beautiful trails that link with other parks in the Chattahoochee park system. There are spots to fish and wade in as well but the main attraction ous the trail system. The main trail is a few miles long and follows the Chat rather closely with many side trails adding several more miles through meadows, dells, swamps, hills, and forests. The trails are all easy to moderate with good views and places to have some quiet moments in the middle of the city. The main trail is not paved but jogger stroller friendly.

Ive ridden my bike, ran, walked, and hiked here since I was 15 and I always enjoy my time here. In a city suffering from urban sprawl this is a place to get away from it and get back to nature. Theres the main trail along the river and there are tens of miles of hiking and running trails up in the hill. The mtb biking here is not great but if you need a two wheeled dirt fix in a hurry then you can get it here.

One of my favorite parks, you can walk the trails or swim. Parking can get overcrowded in summer. On the other side of the river is another part of the park with a long gravel trail that runs along the river. Its a nice walk although there is an issue with dog owners leaving plastic bags of dog poop all over the place.

A great place for a short hike on a dirt trail along the river. There is an additional section with a decent incline that takes you up across the ridge that will give you a decent workout. There is also a concrete step access point for kayaks and canoes.

I love walking the river trail here. It is beautiful, flat, wide, safe, and cool. Seriously its 10 degrees cooler on this trial! I buy a yearly parking pass which is great because I use it at the other park locations. It more than pays for itself.

Great hiking and biking trails. Parking can be difficult in summer due to how popular this area is but that just speaks for how many people enjoy this place. Have seen all kinds of wildlife and there are enough trails to keep things interesting.

Great park for a quick jog or to take a relaxing walk. The kayak put-in is accessable by bridge from Powers island on the east side of the river. Also, theres always open parking (for a small fee) on the east side of the river.

Perfect spot for an outdoor trail run or walk. Also, a great drop-in point for floating the Chattahoochee River! The Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) is also located here which can provide you floats and such for river fun!
