So, Ive taken one private lesson and one couples lesson with my wife. I plan to take two more before our trip. We are both first time skiers and have no real experience. Were leaving for Park City in a few weeks and I will follow up on this review after seeing what real skiing is like and if the skills translate. So far Im very happy with the experience. My wife fought me on this but agrees that the lesson was worth it and more would help. We are driving over 2 hours from Jacksonville so its a big investment in time. The lessons are set up to provide you with 10 minutes of instruction and 10 minutes of rest alternating for an hour. Lessons take place on a large ~20x30 or so inclined treadmill where the instructor controls the speed and incline with a remote. Theres a hand bar the runs across the area at the bottom to grab on to and support yourself when needed. You start of with some basic balance drill and then learn the wedge or snowplow. As lessons progress you learn to turn in the wedge and then to get more aggressive, eventually stepping to parallel and then skiing parallel. The instructors Ive had have been great. Seeing yourself in the giant mirror and having the instructor right in front of you or on the slope with is amazingly helpful. I had a hard time just moving side to side at first but by the end of the second lesson I can make some aggressive turns in the wedge stepping to parallel. Just getting comfortable with the boots and skis would be worth it. Ill update after the next two lessons and after the trip.

I absolutely love this place! I have most definitely increased my skiing skill level and endurance. I live in FL and went to Colorado to ski with 6 lessons under my belt from Winter Club and felt extremely prepared and skied 3 days in a row skiing some green, but mainly blue slopes in Keystone and wasnt even sore! The lessons I took prior really work on your form and confidence. I was very prepared and didnt have any adjustment time or learning curve. I had instructors: Bubba, Gordon, David and Amanda, and all were fantastic and I learned new things and made adjustments from each lesson with each instructor. Everyone there is extremely friendly and helpful. The skis and boots are the same types of equipment used to ski on the mountain in snow. It is a great place to get in shape prior to your ski trip and learn to hone your skills and elevate your confidence. The carpet is a bit more difficult to ski parallel until you get use to it, but it really helps you modify your technique to cheat less and be very efficient an technical. Its the best thing ever for beginners too! My boyfriend had only skied two days many years ago prior to our vacation, but with 7 lessons at Winter Club and into the parallel ski position and by the 3rd full day on the slopes in Colorado, he was able to take on all blue level runs. I know we are both extremely satisfied and will go to the Winter Club not only to have fun, but to maintain our skiing skills throughout the year and prepare for more upcoming trips!

I signed up for a semi private beginners class, just me and my friend, the infinite slope is like going opposite direction of an inclined treadmill and you are on that from the very beginning of the class with no poles. According to the instructor that was the lowest level of inclination the slope could go, arguing that it is exactly like in the mountains. I am sorry, but I lived in Colorado and on beginners classes the instructors do not greet you, make you get on the skis and throw you downhill. On top of it, it is a 30 minute class with three 10 minute breaks in between, in which he was alternating instructing another person with no chance to practice more instead of taking the break. I was just discouraged after the first 10 minutes. In theory, it was a great idea, in the end, in my case, I just have to pay the price and do it the right way in the mountains

I had never touched a snowboard before visiting the WinterClub, but I had an awesome time taking a semi-private class alongside my boyfriend who is a seasoned snowboarder. We were able to work at our own skill levels on the same slope. Both David and Bubba were great teachers! I was impressed at how fast I was able to learn the basics with their instruction. My boyfriend agrees that WinterClub is a much less frustrating and safer place to learn than the outdoor slopes... but it translates directly to the real thing. I have my first snowboarding trip in a few months and I will definitely be back several times before then!

Before my recent ski trip, I had never skied in my life. Not wanting to ruin my trip falling the whole time, I went here with a couple friends and we took 2-3 lessons. When we got to Sugar Mountain in NC I was comfortable going down the Blue Square trails and had a blast! I knew what my stance should be while skiing, how to turn, how to stop, how to slow down - the basics of what is needed to go down the slope and have a good time. I had much more fun than expected and if it werent for WinterClub Indoor ski I think my experience would have been the opposite when I went down a real mountain.

This place is awesome!! Everyone is super nice, from the guy getting you fitted for helmets and boots to your instructor. Theyre super attentive and you can tell that theyre genuinely interested in helping you ski better. I was a completely virgin skier and I didnt even fall once. They work in 10-min increments over the course of about an hour (3 10-min ski sessions with 2 10-min breaks between) and theyre constantly teaching throughout the hour. Ski or snowboard, youre going to learn AND have fun!

What a great place- website does not give you a good feel for the experience. My 5 year old got great ski lessons in a controlled environment from Bubba and we plan to bring her back several times before we go skiing. I rode snowboard slope with great tips from Dave, mirrors let me see flaws with my technique that would be impossible to see on the slopes. If you do not ski or board often be sure to brush up here before you leave-

This place is a truly amazing experience for a native Floridian. The people here are great and work well with any skill level (including zero). We didnt have to bring any equipment, though they gave us the option. Weather on the "slopes" was comfortable in any attire, although you can get a little wet if you fall. Spectating is just as much fun as participating and even more so at times. I cant believe how much fun we had.

If I can, I will give 10 stars to Winter Club. With no knowledge of skiing my daughter and grandson took one lesson and both like it very much. Then my 7 year old grandson, that is under the spectrum, took skiing lessons three hours a day for a week with great results. The instructors are kind, have lots of patience and very knowledgeable. Definitely we are going back for more lessons.
