Really disappointed in the Golden Bear Club. We have a social membership and we should have checked the club out more before joining. The elevator in the club has been broken for the entire time we have been members here, the gym has rusted out very old equipment and basically no activities are scheduled for women in the evenings or on the weekends. Its pretty clear there is no money being spent on the club with money just going into the pockets of the owners. The club says they are hoping for money to replace rusted gym equipment with rust holes, but "c" level company executives are rolling in Bentleys. There have been vandalism incidents reported right in front of the club when a members cart was pushed over but there are no security cameras . We have had issues with billing for the required food and beverage with other members food and beverage billed to our account even though we were out of the country at the time of the billing. On several occasions drink overserved patrons on the patio resulted in us leaving, but getting patio tables is hard as they are "reserved" for regulars. I wanted individual tennis training- not available on weeknights, only on weekends. Club is really geared toward retirees and people who do not work....but retirees who can go up and down the stairs because the elevator does not work. All in all, the GBC is a waste of money, I cant speak to the golf, but the club is pathetic.

The course is phenomenal but they only have regular flex rentals available. I get it but they didnt tell me that and I didnt look since I just expected they would give me what I asked for. Regular shafts arent stiff enough for me. Once I realized what was going on I adjusted. The surprise was how indifferent the woman in the pro shop was when I asked her about it at the end of my round. She could have cared less and was bordering on snobbishly rude and dismissive when questioned. The people I was paired with said that the staff acted snobby on the phone when he made his reservation too. They seem to be pretty impressed with themselves, having said that take you own clubs and play it anyway. The course is a fun round of golf.

This Jack Nicklaus course is one of 2 Nicklaus designs in SW Orlando. The other is located in Grand Cypress and the nicer of the two. The Keenes Pointe course is always in pristine condition and the par 3s are really difficult until you get used to them and figure out how to play them. Its a nice club but prefer nearby Bay Hill if I joined anywhere. Bay Hill is much more difficult and home to the "King", Arnold Palmer.

Just got married in GBC at Keenes Pointe 3 weeks ago and Michelle Edmiston along with the staff have been so wonderful and helpful while we prepare for our big day. Location is well-maintained and they actually just renovated the reception hall before my big day. Highly recommended. I would love to have another event there. 5 stars!

I love playing at this golf course. Immaculate condition each time. Private so its never really crowded. If you live near this area, and want a new golf club to join, give this one a try!
