I had a horrible experience here, and I was a first-time golfer. When I first arrived with a friend of mine, I walked in to the golf store to pay for my round of golf and some range balls. The cashier Chris did not seem very interested to work there, he rang me up, and pointed where to go for the cart pickup. After receiving my cart, I drove to the range, it was a pretty slow day seeing only one person on the range. I set up with my basket and started to drive some balls, gearing up for my first actual game of golf. After about 20 minutes, and a quarter of the balls I had in my large basket, a greens keeper drove up and said we were going on the course early and that I had five minutes. I drove as many balls as I could before throwing the rest of my basket in to the range. The greens keep drove back up, telling me and my friend that we could not go out alone, and that we would be paired up with a single, this was fine. I had explained to the greens keep that I was a first time golfer and that I would not be moving quickly through the course like some of the people that frequented the course. He explained that this was not an issue, and that I was to proceed to the course. Twice on the course, we were approached by a ranger and was told to hurry up; we were already playing best ball as it was, and were moving quite quickly. We were being pushed by a group of four during the entire round of golf. I am not happy that after paying $53 to golf on the course, I was rushed through the round. This has definitely impacted my appreciation of the sport, and will not be returning to the course.

This golf course continues to get better and better. You should comment about the Golf, not about how your a first time golfer and clueless about the game or properly playing it. The conditions are first rate and the staff will work with you. Green algae on the ponds? Omg really. Anyone who actually can play golf, will love it. By the way, the ponds/lakes look great. Keep it up Chris!!!!

The course sits up high with good turf conditions. This is a big course that will challenge all skilled players. The course is a monster with 4 par 5 holes that will challenge your scoring ability. Dont let the length of the course keep you from enjoying a welcoming crew who appreciate the business.

Talked to the owner yesterday or superintendent not sure but this course has made significant improvements. It is getting back to a quality Golf course. Fastest greens around. Fairways are well kept. Grass is green. Most weeds have been removed. Great price. I will be a returning customer.

If you get a chance to play Champion Turf Club St James you will not be disappointed. Great layout nice greens very well maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful and you cant beat the price for a quality golf course

If youre in Port St Lucie and plan on playing golf. Play here for the absolutely best greens and overall condition at a reasonable price. Open layout, good location w/ an unpretentious lunch/ Sports Bar atmosphere.

The greens are great!! Came from Connecticut and I can tell you awesome and similar. Other courses in this league leave a lot to be desired. Well worth the price!!!

The lakes are full of neon green algae .i think it posses threat to the saint lucie river.someoneshould really look into this matter.
