After my visit today, I immediately fell in love with the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. You see & learn (much closer than you would in the wild) about the amazing birds of prey native to Florida. The staff and volunteers dedication to preservation and education cannot be compared, everyone there was so friendly, personable and very knowledgeable. The Center does a fabulous job of saving so many injured birds, through rehabilitation & release, and ambassador species & education, I was truly impressed by their dedication. I highly recommend this center to everyone, drop by for a visit, you wont be disappointed!
Absolutely wonderful experience, a variety of birds to view. Its not everyday that you can see a Bald Eagle, and I must say its one of the most magnificent birds to see in person. They have a nature trail, which I must say is short, and a nice little gazebo deck where you can view a lake. Overall a pleasant experience and the lady at the front counter, a volunteer named Linda was absolutely so sweet and you could tell the passion she had for the birds. Very sweet lady.
This a hidden gem in Maitland, Florida, where dedicated staff and volunteers rescue, rehabilitate and release Raptors back to the wild, if possible. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and more than happy to answer questions about birds of prey, and if you are lucky, you could get your photo taken with a resident Raptor. This is a photographers dream come true, in terms of getting a chance to photograph wild birds in a nearly natural setting.
All of the birds here are birds that were injured and are not able to be released back to the wild. Each year many birds are brought here to get help and heal. We really enjoyed our time here and especially enjoyed the guide book that told you the names and stories of each of the birds you saw. It was a small place but the volunteers were very friendly and shared a lot of information and it was great to visit.
These guys are amazing. They do a great service to Florida nature, the birds of prey in all of Central Florida and the local community itself. Go by and check out their feathered friends who are unable to go back to the wild due to various reasons. Its a very serene place right in our backyards. And if you get the chance to catch the parade at the end of the day, stay for it. Youll be very happy you did.
Wonderful experience! My son and grandson came to visit for the day and they loved it. The volunteers are so knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed hearing the background story of the birds that reside there. The short video was very informative and made us realize how much loving care goes into their rehabilitation. I will definitely go again .
I love the owls. Theres so many to look at. The have a red shoulder hawk near the house. Very interesting raptors to watch. I have a service dog and he was scared of the birds. So I only got to see a little bit. If you have a service dog be careful the birds puffs up and screams at the dog.
Really cool place to look at birds of prey. Fun informational guide provided. Interactive areas inside for kids (coloring, etc). Great access to many birds. There is alot to learn here about bird rescue and rehab. Most of the viewing areas are outside, so dress for the weather.
We went an hour before closing and got a nice "Bird parade" with introductions as they began to close. They told us about each Bird as they escorted them in for the night. It was awesome seeing hawks and eagles so close and personal. This team and facility is amazing!
Cool little place to see different brids up close. Bald eagles are pretty awesome. Only con is wish it was bigger...takes 15 minutes to walk thru and your done. Thought admission should of been $5 per person, but at least it went to a good cause to help injure birds.
I have to say this. The Audubon Center for Birds of Prey, does a fantastic job with the birds in there care. I am a falconer and have got to see there facilities up close, and I have to say they have a genuine love for there work. Keep up the GREAT WORK!
What a great place to learn about and enjoy the beautiful birds we share our Central Florida with. Learning not just about the breeds, but also the individual stories of each bird made the experience fun and personal. Go visit.
This place was so much fun! The staff is wonderful and very friendly. So many awesome and beautiful birds to look at. I especially love the owls! Theyre the best. Definitely a fun way to spend a couple of hours on the weekend.
My wife came here a lot in her youth and brought me today for my first visit. It will NOT be my last. Such a peaceful place. Inexpensive to visit and such lovely birds. Come support these amazing people doing Gods work.
A wonderful stroll surrounded by incredible birds. Amazing work rehabilitating injured birds of prey, and our chance to see these awesome birds up close. Very friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely worth a visit!
they are saving a baby red shoulder hawk that fell out of its nest in a tree near my house and they will release it back were we found it makes me so happy and thank you so much Audubon center for birds of prey!
Amazing place to see birds of prey up close . Right in the Heart of Orlando. You can tell the volunteers really care about the animals in their care. Perfect place for a first date.
The birds are so beautiful and so well taken care of! You can really tell how much these people care about the birds and their survival. It is mostly outdoors, so dress accordingly.

Great place to see and learn about Our native Birds of Prey. Injured birds cared for and treated. Good for all ages, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
