I LEFT THIS TOUR IN PAIN, UPSET AND WITH A BROKEN PHONE! To start with, they did not point out any points of interest or really say anything other than encourage the little kids to spray their parents in the face with water guns... I Attended the 2pm pirate boat tour in Johns pass May 21st. After boarding the boat the first mate got out squirt guns for the kids and brought out a large pressurized squirt gun for himself. He proceeded to come up behind me and completely drenched me with the water gun, which normally wouldnt be a problem except I had a horrible sunburn which was very visible. Not only did it hurt extremely bad, but it also washed off my sunscreen so I had to stand in the shade for the remaining hour and 45 min of the trip to avoid getting more burnt. A few minutes later while I was standing there he proceeded to sneak up behind me again with the squirt gun. My sister who was next to me saw him and signaled to stop since she knew I had my phone in my hand. He didnt stop, he completed soaked me and the other 3 people I went with. He flooded my friends purse and now my phone screen keeps flickering and turning off randomly and the water indictor is now lit up. My phone is brand new and cost me $400. I am incredibly upset that not only the trip ended up poorly but now my new phone isnt working well either. I would really appreciate at least a refund for my group due to the bad service and the damage to my phone... I never received a response from anyone I tried to contact about this... Except the first person who apologised and forwarded my email to her boss who never got back to me.

I Normally dont write Reviews but Had to rate this one!!! I Absolutely loved it! so worth it! What I liked most? WHAT IS STATED IS WHAT YOU GET. Upon buying a groupon the list of activities said many things such as - Water fun fights, pirate games, pirate stories, Unlimited drinks, face painting, music, dancing etc amongst other things and my reaction was Yea right I bet they do about half the things on the list and then make excuses" NO WAY! you get exactly what is on the list of events no lame story on how they are out of bud light or face painting. What is stated as what your paying for is what you get which is a relieve as false advertising is oh so common. My son is only 14 months old and still loved it he danced to great music, our tour group had about 15 kids and they ALL had SUCH a blast as a teacher I love children so its my nature to enjoy watching them having fun and boy they did! As for the adults? We were all dancing and enjoying a drink while the kiddos had fun with the Pirates! Fun as a family and able to have time to be with my husband without having to leave my son at home with a sitter or sacrifice family time- its just a win-win all around SO AWESOME Thanks Pirate ship for actually giving us the experience you promised cant wait til my son is older to take him on it again!!! Definitely an experience Ill return to again and again!

Very disappointed! Compared to Captain Memos Pirate Ship, this is a poor substitute. The ship is at least half the size of Memos, and they didnt play the music loud enough to hear until the very end. The worst thing though, was the grouchy, rude Captain. He had my son very upset, because he always loves interacting with the captains and this dude was so unfriendly! Also, the top level was small, and the captain kept shooing my son down and saying there were too many people. I will say the other crew members were nice, but god help you if you want a picture of the boat...a guy ran us off and said it was a safety issue!!!! Its SO worth the drive to Clearwater for Capt. Memos! (FYI: We sailed on Sunday, Oct.9th at 2pm.)

Went on the morning cruise with the family. I have 3 kids and it was very very very family friendly. I have one still in a stroller and no problem with stroller room. The older two, 9 and 7, were entertained by the crew the entire time. Lots of activities for the kids even though we saw no dolphins. It didnt matter the kids had a blast with stories at the front and back of the ship, water fights, limbo dance and just good fun. The Mrs. and I enjoyed the site seeing and open bar while the kids were entertained for 2 hours. No complaints, crew and all staff very friendly and accommodating. Value for money was 5 out of 5. Will do again next time we are down.

We did the cruise a few weeks ago while visiting family in Florida. My mother in law got a groupon online and we had a blast! The crew gave the kids pirate pistols and squirt guns to play with. There were pirate stories and free soft drinks and beer (bud/bud light) and wine red, white zin and white. We enjoyed the beer and wine spritzers while my two year old son hung out with the other kids and had fun with the pirates. The guys were great and got a good tip from us for the fun we had.

The pirate cruise was the perfect vacation experience for our 4.5 year old son whom had an absolute blast! The crew (/cast) was friendly with the adults and amazing with the kids! An enjoyable relaxed boat cruise opportunity for adults as well, I quite enjoyed conversation with the captain and the views from the captains deck. I noticed a fairly good range in ages of all the kids that sailed with us and all ages boys and girls seemed very engaged with the activities.

My 4 grandaughters here from Michigan. Ages 7/10/14 and 15. Was not sure if the older girls would have a good time. WRONG. It was the best . Captain Nick Arnold and skarps wear the best. Great with all ages. So fun. Had to dock a little early because of weather but they continued with the kids. Reasonable priced. Would recommend to all my friends.thank you for a great time and good memories for the kids. Would go again

Great fun! The crew are entertaining and friendly. Free drinks while you cruise around. The crew would also approach us and ask us if we needed anything. We were given name tags which made it more personable as crew would address us by name. Definitely worth it and I would do it again! The only thing that wouldve made it better if they offered rum as a drink!

Definitely geared towards kids, but my husband and I still had a nice time. We sat on the upper deck and talked the captain for a bit, he was very friendly. He talked about the history of Johns Pass and Madeira. We also saw some dolphins too. They had free beer and wine, which was a plus! Theres really not shade on the boat, so prepared to be hot/get sunburn!

We have done the pirate ship in Clearwater and now the one in johns pass. If you are going to put out the money go to clearwater! Ship is a lot bigger and the entertainment for the kids by far is a lot better. If you go with this one use the bathroom before hand bc it was nasty:/
