My mom was a Red Cross swimming instructor 1962-1965 with Wall Springs being the best and my personal favorite place for lessons I can remember! My brothers, cousins, and any one else able to tag along did. We participated in the swim program all over Pinellas County - Pier Pavillion pool at Pier 60, Gulf of Mexico - Clearwater Beach, YMCA, to name a few. Hands down - Wall Springs! You could swim in the natural pool next to the spring, the lake that fed out to the Gulf of Mexico, and in the spring (if you had permission and my moms connections!) Not many kids were brave or crazy enough because your brain froze and it was ominous. I was brave and crazy. Urban legend was some people went down in the spring and never came up...........? My how time changes the face of things. Fast forward 46 yrs., and I have a hard time even finding the place and when I do........ I wonder where my favorite place went. You could be arrested for going in the spring. Wall Springs Park is beautifully landscaped and manicured. Very family friendly, etc.

Came across this park as it is along the Pinellas Trail, what a great find! Has lots of parking, a natural spring head, and an easy flat wide loop trail out to several lookouts over the bay. The benches in the park are artistic - some are wood and some are metal - one shaped like a dolphin. Unfortunately both times we visited the lookout tower was still closed and being re built due to a fire. On the walk we saw spoonbills, and many other wading birds feeding as it was low tide. We had hoped to see Manatee but due to the springs construction they can not swim up to the spring. There is a great group of photos around the spring showing how it had been developed when it was private property.

This is a beautiful park. The park has a lovely boardwalk that overlooks the spring, the Bayou and the gulf of Mexico. While we were there we observe squirrels, fish, and an Osprey, ducks, pelicans and two dolphins. We found the park to be very peaceful. It would be a lovely spot to bring the family for a picnic or let the kids play on the nice playground. Its hard to think of any needed improvements. However, the parks observation tower is currently closed for construction. Once this is open, ( planned for spring 2017), this part will be perfect.

Rated one star to get attention. Went to the park today and discovered the vast majority of it is closed due to construction of that lookout tower. Ranger said it is going to be 8 or 9 months before reopening. Dont understand whats happening but the chain link fences and threats of felony trespass were sure real. Playground and some immediate environs are still open. Pinellas Cointy has a bunch of other great parks - look em up and go there...

We always enjoy taking a park walk at Wall Springs. It has good facilities, plenty if picnic space, and interesting sites. It is unfortunate that they are taking so long to finish the tower project. The tower had to be rebuilt due to a malicious fire. After it was complete, it had to be updated based on ADA requirements. Alot of park is unavailable due to this issue. If and when the park is fully open, we will be glad to rate it much higher.

This park is beautiful! They have a bunch of great playgrounds for all ages and a gorgeous water front view! Ive had a few of my kids birthday parties there and was just there on 1/14/17 for my husbands brothers baby shower for our new baby nephew!! It was so much fun for the adults and kids ages 2-15!! Highly recommend this park for picnics, fun day at the playground and all sorts of parties!!

Wall Springs is a great park with nice views of the Gulf. There is a large tower which should be open late 2017 and numerous piers that extend into the water with great views. On our last visit we saw 5 stingrays swimming along and numerous fish near the pond where the spring is located. There is also a great covered play area. The park has access to the Pinellas Trail as well.

We have been coming to this park for years. The play area is sheltered and padded, always clean. There is a large paved walking path, multiple piers and docks. The spring area has large fish that love to be fed and usually ducks and their babies in the spring. Weve even seen otters play there. Its also right next to the Pinellas trail so you can bike or skate from there.

Great park with crystal clear drinking water in the fountains. They have a bicycle service pod along the trail in the event your tires need air or you need a wrench. The lookout tower is still closed since the fire, looking forward to the delayed reopening, apparently ADA requires a ramp and they hadnt factored that in since original design did not have it.

Great park with dock out to water. Plenty of wildlife and fish. The best part of this park is the lookout tower. Phenomenal view of the area. Look out tower was burned down in a fire several years ago. The replacement tower did not meet building specifications so had to be rebuilt. I do not know the status at this time.

Great park - playgrounds are covered, bathrooms are clean and located conveniently next to playground. Also, there are 2 nice shelters next to park that would be great for get-togethers/barbecues. FYI, the spring was neat to check out, but the observation tower and trail are currently shut down for renovations.

Beautiful park. Good place to play Pokemon GO (if anyone still plays it) If you need Machop(a pokemon), its a nest. They are building a tower in the park and it looks like observation tower. Theres a spring there but it has green stuff on top of it You can feed the fish in the spring and sometimes theres otters.

This park is so cute! Its super clean! We really enjoyed our visit-- its a good place to bring behaved dogs or children! Well cleared trails and the springs themselves are protected and are presented well. Also there were several benches and recycled wood items that were fantastic multi-purpose art pieces.

Work as a full-time nanny in the area and I take the children I watch you practically everyday. The playground is wonderful and she did which is perfect in the hot summer. They also have a walk that you can go on and see the Ducks and feed the fishes. Everytime we go there we see a flock of baby ducklings!

Only park open a week after the Hurricane I found near Tarpon that had a playground besides Highland. They are working on the paths still but the beautiful spring area is still open. The bathrooms were not stocked but were clean.

Nice, huge covered playground!! There is also a trail that goes around the old natural swimming pool from the early 1900s. Along the trail there are some very eclectic benches too look like different things. My children loved them!

Cannot get near the spring water and half the park is under construction due to storm damage. But there are some spectacular trees here and it is very beautiful though there was heavy police presence when we were there.
