What an awesome place! I talked to Chris Buckholtz and that man is a tattoo genius. I suggest if your looking for a old school/ sailor jerry/traditional tattoo hes the man to see. Hell tell you straight up the process and even the history of tattoing. I am super impressed and Ill be back. I even have his work on my arm. Chris maybe young but he you know his former life was somewhere in a old 1940s San Fran tattoo shop. I also have the world to say about Matt Lackey. Matt is professional, whos charming, hilarious and a overall great. He did one a very important piece for me last Saturday that means the world to me. He made the way I wanted it to look and it couldnt turn out better. Matt is a good dude with great ideas. And oh, how can I forget Steve Bananas! Steve Bananas has the patience of a saint. He has a very steady hand and will make you feel like your the most important person in the world while your sitting in his chair. Bananas actually takes the time out of his day to get to know each and every one of his clients and that I find to be up most respectable. And good old Mr. Howl himself. Andy is a tattoo legend around these parts. Andy takes his time and his works show it. Every tattoo he does he puts his heart and soul into it. His coloring is outstanding. Youd think he painted it on your skin. Hes worth the wait to get in. The whole shop is amazing. I never stepped into a shop and got treated like a human being and not just a bag of money. The shop is clean, swank, hip. The art on the walls is indescribable in the best way possible. And the girls working up front? Their aint that bad either. ;) But seriously though, you will not find another shop like this in South West Florida and I really hope you take the time to to look around.

I have been to almost every tattoo shop in Fort Myers. Not one of them has the level of professionalism, cleanliness and talent as the tattoo artists at Howl. Sure there are people loyal to one tattoo shop or another because they are friends with the artist, but if you want a really well done tattoo in a clean and friendly environment Howl is the only place to go to in the area. If you have seen how every shop around Fort Myers has flash art as soon as you walk in, (pre designed tattoos on the wall) you will be extremely happy to not see any of that at Howl. Every tattoo they do is hand drawn for the individual customer. I came in to Howl and sat down with Steve to talk about my tattoo. We talked for about half an hour and he came up with a original design for me pretty quickly. I had it done that day and it was fully healed after about 3 weeks. I am planning on returning in the next few weeks to get another piece done. The entire experience was awesome. great music. Howl is THE place to go in Ft Myers, the older style tattoo shops in the area cant even touch them! Howl also does art shows on First Fridays every month. The shows are packed and are a great time. Live music and wine! Having the chance to hang out with the artists and tattoo artists is very cool. I could keep going on but this shop /gallery is truly one of a kind. Great people and talent here folks.

I havent gotten a tattoo here but I remember walking in this tattoo shop and just fell in love with it. I love art its a big part of me since my father is an artist he left when I was two came back when turning 15, so between that big gap I made art my number 1 hobbie I made it my goal to make a name for myself with my art. I always loved tattoos but never thought one day hey thats what I want to do in my future, of course I knew about tattoo artist and seen female tattoo artists like Kay Von D whos amazing at her work.. but she wasnt my inspiration to become a female tattoo artist, back in 2012 on Instagram I ran into a page of this tattoo artist named Sara Fabel.. and oh man I fell head over hills with her art shes crazy talented and she made me want to become a female tattoo artist but not just another I want to be on top but of course Ill need some help Ive been living here for 2 years on my birthday in January itll be 3 years. Ive been trying to start my sleeve but I havent been sure where I want to go, since Im from Hollywood/Miami FL its hard for me to just trust tattoo artist here I want a hell of a kick ass work done on me and I for sure felt it in this place when I walked in. But I am trying to look for a apprenticeship so if yall are looking Id be honored ☺️

Steve (aka Bananas) was GREAT!!! A++++++++++!! My husband and I were looking to have Celtic knots (mine motherhood and him fatherhood) The moment I walked in, it was a great experience! First, the store itself is extremely clean and professional, and Steve was there to welcome us in. I had my tattoo done first, and from making sure he had the best drawings, to making sure the placement was 110% correct, he took his time with me! Steve is full of personality, and made the entire process fun and relaxing! Being new SW florida, I was nervous about trying out a new tattoo artist, since I had always gone to the same place back where I used to live. First and foremost, he put that tattoo artist to shame LOL My tattoo is better than I could have ever imagined, and I wear it proudly! And as for the quality of the tattoo, the shading is PRISTINE! Never had a drop of blood during or in the healing process, amazing!!!! I do and will always refer anyone looking for an awesome tattoo, to come to Steve. I cant wait to get more ink...and to take my family and friends that come to visit to get ink! Thank you Steve, so so much...I look forward to getting to know you better as a friend as well!!! :)

I called in for a last minute septum piercing and the girl on the phone didnt take a name or offer me times she just told me to come in. So far so good. I arrive and the woman at the desk was very approachable and gave me the proper paper work to fill out. All well and good. The downward spiral came when I began to take a good look around... the aesthetic of this place was nothing short of disturbing. Satanic portraits, mounted animal heads, a bar area with a stage? I really didnt understand the lay out? Id think youd want to try to shoot for the whole "tattoo and piercing" gig not a cheap open night mic venue with cheep beer stored in a mini fridge... but I digress. I tried to take a look at their jewelry selection.... extremely underwhelming. A tiny case with maybe 20 items to look at. The piercer then came out, did not greet me, took the paper work and left to go "sterilize". She comes back, after I had already waited 20 minutes for her to prepare, with a cigarette in her hand asking if it was okay to smoke it before she pierced me? I cant make this up. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing on the shops part. Would not come back here or recommend it to anyone.
