The Widefield Community Center is ok if you have smaller children that just want to get active, swim, or go to the library. My kids have used the library each summer and love participating in their reading program. If you are looking to teach older children/teenagers how to compete athletically and prepare them for playing in high school, go to Fountain. This is where the Widefield Community Center is severly lacking. The referees will arbitrarily choose which of their rules to enforce or ignore, and the Sports Program staff will do the same when it comes to scoring games. God forbid a game gets stopped due to lightning as they will ignore any common sense or established governing associations rules and just determine winners based on the score at the time the game is halted. I mean come on, you give a team with 4 ups at bats the win over another with only 3 instead of playing it out later or doing what is almost universally done which is revert back to the score of the last full inning played. Who does that? Believe it or not, kids and parents care about wins and losses. And dont bother emailing Andrew or anyone else there to complain, even as a coach, hell just ignore you!

So I think this pool has some sperm or other type of life form in the pool because the next day I wake up and Im 9 months pregnant with a baby. I dont know how this happen but it must be a miracle from god. I think Im the next Mary and I was impregnated with Jesus Jr. at this Pool! Amazing! Also Once the pool closes, all the boys rush to the locker room and it gets hectic. They all start to whistle and it becomes really loud, so loud that I start having Vietnam flashbacks and soon start to have my stage 5 autism seizures. Also all the boys gang up on me and whip me with towls because im transgender. other than that this is a pretty cool pool.

Some strange rules and conflicting activities. Ex.: no diving board while rock-climbing wall in use and vice versa. First, who thinks that the two activities are too close? Someone would have to deliberately jump as far as possible towards the rock-climbing wall while another person was deliberately jumping off the wall towards the diving board...and it would still be difficult to reach each other. Second, who decided to put the two activities so close together? Poor planning and an unnecessary rule. Employees were nice and polite and we still had fun even with the strange rules.

The pool needs to be worked on. It is a fun pool over all, but sanitation needs to improve greatly. To start the locker rooms are "cleaned" with pool water and throw it back in the pool. They also need to take Breyer care of the pool deck. This is one of the only pools in widefield and it should be taken care of by the people who work there if you plan on have a more enjoyable experience.

My family loves this place! It is very well maintained and always clean. Dogs are frequent in the area but everyone cleans up after the very well. We visit at least 3 times a week.

Very poor empires! Very disappointed in Widefield! They show up late to games and call games early! Ill never let my kids play for their teams ever again!
