From what I hear Carrie Contreras is incredible at her job. Unfortunately we didnt have the pleasure of her services, due to her being on vacation. Just our luck our event is coordinated by the most wretched woman youll ever meet or see, Samantha. Besides her constant overbearing, the venue in my honest opinion was very overpriced. For being served from 4pm to 10pm and having Samantha threaten our group with questionable invoices inhibited everyone from have an enjoyable experience. Having paid a whole lot of money for a whole lot of nothing really does leave a dissatisfied feeling. The only plus to the venue is the surroundings. With the mountains and the golf course in the background its very pleasant. As well the style of the building. Thanks to Samantha in general, my family and friends will not be doing business with Angeles National Golf Course banquet hall services ever again. Thank you.

The grounds-keeping on this course has dropped to nearly non existent levels. The greens look like the surface of the moon - pitch marks are not properly repaired. Angeles used to have amazing greens so this is sad. The fairways have enormous dead patches and hitting the fairway can result in a cart track like bounce in some areas. One of our groups shots actually bounced backwards after hitting a rock hard area full of bumps! Areas around sand traps can be mowed or unmowed - you can find yourself in rough over a foot high less than ten feet from a green if no one has bothered to take the weed wacker and mow around the trap. Most amazingly several holes had what appeared to be oil leaked from the lawn mower all over them! Not worth the price. The place is empty these days so this seems to be a lot of other peoples belief too. Sad to see such a well designed course treated so badly.

I have been planning a party for 50th and possibly renew my marriage vows that same day. I was excited that my husband wanted to go there and check it all out, since it is close to our house. We have been to the restaurant and I have purchased several times gift vouchers for my boss to golf there. We went and looked around at the banquet rooms and ended up speaking with, one of the banquet hostesses. She was very friendly, showed us around, gave us ideas, helped us with our questions, the best she could. She said, that she would have the Caterer Manager call us on Monday. By mid week the CM finally called and said that from April to June are usually high volumes for weddings and would have to talk to the Manager of Operations, to see if he would accept my party over a wedding. Needless to say, from this day on we have not heard from either of them! Very disappointed

I guess what i did wrong, is try to show up single. I Love the course itself but if I start at two PM, pay the non twilight full $85, I wish I could finish and actually post a score instead of being stuck behind a foursome on the front and a threesome on the back. 16 holes and they pulled the flags way before dark. None of the people will let u play thru, so it is up to the players to fight it out amongst themselves since the pro shop cannot regulate play. Greens smooth but 100 shades of green in fractal patterns. Only the marshall fixes divots. Most anywhere, half the price, finish your round. Bad luck for me, but for $85, help me out, somewhere. I wanted to do a replay and have dinner but it was so late none of that was possible. Nothing can kill a great day of golf like slow play.

Typical over priced, over hyped and over designed Nicklaus course. Honestly, it looked like a muni. Rock hard fairways and over undulated greens. Waited hole after hole after hole after hole after hole Hit your driver and every bunker comes into play at the same yardage. 2nd shot 140-150 every time. 2nd shot into greens are rarely rewarded because of the crack smoker that designed them. I played Blue tees, was 2 over after 12 and couldnt take the snails pace any longer and walked off the course. Marshals? What stinking marshals. Too busy pandering to people to set them straight. Go ahead, ignore this post an flush $150.00 down the toilet.

Make this your resort course. Your course of last resort. Greens are great, everything else poor. Paid $100 for cart path only, which they dont tell you. I have arthritic knees and after 5 holes had to return. You would have thought I was asking for their first born. After 20 minutes and 3 staff involved trying to figure out how to pro rate 5 holes for a credit I said keep it, you need it more than I do. Traps hadnt been raked in weeks, carts are old. Find a muni. Better value.

Fantastic Course!!!! The course is in great shape. Both the fairways and greens run fast. The place of play is very good for a public course (on the weekend). The only bad thing is that its too expensive for me to play consistently. I also played very well, so thats probably why I love it so much. But really its a great course and want to play as soon as possible!

For $109 I was very disappointed. Nobody was there to pick up my clubs when I arrived at the clubhouse. We were instructed to tee off on the back 9 for no apparent reason. The marshall on the back nine had no personality and didnt make us feel welcome. Course was over seeded and the greens were very bumpy. I would not recommend this course at $109 per round.

Challenging yet fair. Bring your game and you can score here. Take what it gives you. Have to play smart. Played on a weekday and didnt wait on any tee. Course was in perfect condition. Loved everything about it. Staff was very nice and hit dogs are great too! Oh and at $65 through the week its an absolute bargain. Will definitely be back.

People who work at this place have horrible attitudes. The golf course was dry and stony and we lost a lot of balls. The marshall guy was right in front of us watching and pressuring us to go faster for the last four courses. My husband got very offended by the staff. The place is not worth $125 they were collecting. Its a rip off.

Course out a little ways didnt expect a collared shirt at the driving range. Fine buy a shirt for $40. Then go to the grill to get something to eat but even a bagel with a side of cream cheese was going to fifteen minutes because the guy cant just put it in a toaster and hand it back. Just a hassle for a so called nice golf course.

dont know what previous people rating of this course should be but as far as public course goes in peak season which is right now, 80-100 is pretty good in LA. greens were fast. fairways were fast. fun course. slicers will enjoy it. hookers will hate it. its a jack nicholas course after all.

Great pizza! The patio offers stunning views. Great for a second date. Very romantic. If on a date, dont show up on a Tuesday, it gets very busy and you might like someone else other than your date, lol! So go solo on Tuesday! No pizza on the menu on Tuesday, bomber!
