Im not much for going on wine tours, but Im glad that I did the one offered at Bridlewood Estate Winery. The grounds alone are a sight to behold, with sweeping panoramas of the Santa Ynez Valley, a tree-lined driveway leading up to the estate buildings, 140+ acres of vines, gazebos and sitting/picnic areas throughout, etc. Theres even a man-made lake for vineyard-specific members located in what would have been the center green of a horse racing track. Our tour guide, Kevin, was really knowledgeable and very accommodating of all the questions we had. I think it helped that he grew up in the area, but hes also schooled in all there is to know about the wine produced by the estate, and also the company writ large. I would definitely recommend this tour! The tour closing included a wine tasting of the estates best offerings. YUM!

This was by far the most beautiful winery in San Ynez. It also happened to be the first one we went to. At first we were hesitant to buy a few bottles of wine at the first stop while wine tasting, but we did not regret it! At Bridlewood you get a nice one-on-one experience with someone who talks you through each tasting. Cece was very helpful and suggested that we purchase a standard and reserve tasting and then share. It was great!

I had a chance to go to a wine tasting event at this winery last weekend. The winery and surroundings were beautiful. The employees were incredibly helpful and it was obvious that they enjoyed their jobs. And I found a few wines that I found very satisfying. Everyone has different tastes in wine, so of course I didnt like every wine I tasted, but that is on me and not the winery. I hope to go back if Im in that region again.

This winery is worth the visit. Beautiful entrance with large oak trees lining the driveway. Prior to it being turned into a winery, it used to be a stallion farm to rehabilitate race horses that were injured. The wines are decent, with a selection or Chardonnays, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Cabernet. Wines are from the Santa Ynez, Santa Rita and Santa Maries AVA regions.

We came here for an afternoon wine tasting. The grounds are gorgeous. We ended up walking around the grounds and having a picnic here before we actually made it for the wine! If you are not a fan of wine tours, this place is still worth checking out because the grounds are stunning!

Although this is a nice property with beautiful surroundings the wine itself was disappointing, especially for the price. $20 per person for tasting and on the low end $28 per bottle. Everyone has their own taste when it comes to wine but to us there was nothing special here.

The wines were ok but you can get them cheaper in the store (Bev Mo, K&L, etc). Another winery recommend we check Bridlewood out because (1) the property was "gorgeous" and (2) their Zin was excellent. The property was gorgeous but the Zin was a big disappointment.

Beautiful scenery, but the wines werent really my style. I prefer bolder wines, and of course this region does not really specialize in that. That aside, I found the syrahs and Pinots to just be so-so.

Beautiful place but poor wines and intimidating service makes it one to avoid. There are better wines and service in the area, however if you are passing park up and get the camera out, its stunning.

Love this place. Courtney was a great help in helping us do the comparative tasting. Became a member on the spot since the grounds were awesome and the wine is delicious (esp. the 2013 Syrah).
