The review for the theater experience itself: honestly its quite nice! Popcorns nice, great atmosphere, I love the chairs and I think reserved seating makes a lot of sense, and floor staff and managers are kind and helpful. Honestly though the audio in the theaters can be a bit loud. To customers reading this: please remember to be kind and patient with floor staff! Theyre working really hard! If you think someone is being rude, try to think from their perspective (rough time at home, working multiple jobs and is exhausted, end of their shift). Theres a thing called "emotional labor," and its really exhausting to be chipper all the time. If you believe an employee is out to get you or treating you unfair because of the reserved seating or snack prices, theyre not, theyre just trying to do their job. To floor staff and managers: keep on trucking! Im rooting for you! Try your best to keep moving forward, even when its overwhelming and scary! To any district managers reading this: chill

Theres a review here from 11 months ago saying the facilities are old, and its ranked pretty high among most helpful. The fact that this is simply untrue motivated me to write this review. The facilities are extremely nice. The sound is done well and the picture is clear. The general decor of the place is very modern, doesnt look shotty whatsoever. It has a good vibe of a modern successful theatre. Combine that with the fact that they recently remodeled their theater rooms to have individual, reclining chairs with spacious armrests and I have to say that as a normal moviegoer (dont go around reviewing all sorts of theatres) this is the best theatre Ive been to yet. Their concession stand prices are through the roof, but thats standard. You should know not to buy things at a theatre unless you are willing to pay a fortune.

Two words: reclining chairs!!! Best theater in my opinion, ever! They have huge cup holders and armrests. Plenty of room to curl up and hide underneath your coat if you plan on watching a scary movie. Better yet, bring a small size blanket. Hidd it in your backpack or something. The seats are that comfortable! Trust me. I never felt like I was at home until I stepped foot and watched a movie with my friends. I feel so deprived after watching a movie here. For $7/8 a ticket, super cheap!! Versus paying $12-15 in SJ and far worse in SF. Why cant we get all these cool perks?! So unfair! The place may look old but the comfy seats and surround system, sold me. I wouldnt mind coming back here. Now if they can upgrade the rest of the interior and food, I would love this theater a tad bit more! Would I come back? Yes!!!

This rennovated multiplex is in the heart of Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz. There is a two storey parking garage just around the corner (paid, but inexpensive - priced the same as all the other nearby outdoor lots, too). Escalators take you up from the street to the theaters and concessions. Seats are reserved and recline, and aisles are generously spaced so you dont feel crowded. Armrests are pretty wide, too. Screens are sufficienty large and the sound is clear and not too loud. You can walk Pacific street to shop and eat before or after. The boadwalk is about .7 miles away; probably a bit too far to walk.

Look: A movie theater is just a movie theater. . . until you put in full sized leather recliner seats inside! We cant watch a movie anywhere else anymore, because it just isnt comfortable. Regal is now just missing out on serving beer and wine. That would complete the comfort! Regardless, we come with our blanket, and candy and we feel like we are in a home theater. Tones of isle walking room, and they arm rest comes up between seats for cuddle time! Only 4 stars instead of 5 because they could evolve there food and drink menu. And we have had our fair share of movies stopping and malfunctioning there as well!

Is an OK theater. Good for seeing new releases, but the facilities are old - very old. This means as a customer, I encounter things here that I normally wouldnt at a state of the art brand new theater. Thats ok though - this is Santa Cruz after all, so it fits. They dont let you bring in outside food or drink, which is fine (been this way since what..the 90s?) but their concessions prices are way overpriced. Sure, theyre similiar to the theaters around the area (plus or minus a buck) but I still cant justify $8 on popcorn. Also, I can hear the movie playing in an adjacent auditorium to the one Im in

Its a lovely theater, great seats, lovely atmosphere, the quality sound & image. They updated and as far as I can tell the tellers are non-discriminate. But . .. . No one actually likes too pay $7:00 for a box of Junior Mints. I suggest you cross the street to the candy store, grab a bucket of assorted goodies, stuff your purse, or hide it under your jacket, and bring that instead. I do it all the time. I shall assume that everyone knows you must pay for the candy first, not simply steal it.

I love the fantastic reclining seats & wide arm rests. & its great to have space in front of them so you can easily walk past the other patrons. Obviously youve lost hundreds of seats, overall, & I hope its appreciated. I dont often like the type of movies playing there, so Im thrilled when there is one!! The few times Ive gone the ticket sellers are very accommodating, explaining the seating clearly & patiently to first time patrons.

One of four theater in town and the place to go downtown if you want to see the newest Hollywood flick. Staff is always nice. The reclining seats are nice but there isnt much lumbar support. Assigned seating is strange, but nice to know where youre going to be (and helps me avoid shows where Im going to be sitting in the front row).

This is our go-to theatre in Santa Cruz. If its not playing here, we probably wont go. All the theatres have recliner seats with big arm rests. The theatre is usually very clean, and the staff is nice. Concession is no more over priced than any other theatre. The best part is their app that lets you buy tickets and skip the lines.

This is your nice smallish town theatre. What I absolutely hate is that Ive never seen more than two people working concession stands here. And one just disappears in the middle of things. Waiting 15 minutes when theres 10 people ahead is not ok. Never. Not when things are as overpriced as they are here

The theater I visited in this multiplex was a small quaint size theater, but had state if the art projection and sound. I was most impressed with the seats which were large laid back chairs the provided a lot of comfort, leg room and space between neighboring seats. No issues with sharing armrests here.
