My friends got married here. Its not my cup of tea to wait in line with 6 other families for 10 minute use of a room for a ceremony. The bride, her mom and a couple others had called days prior to confirm the use of an upstairs room. Upon arrival, they were told it wasnt available. It was mysteriously made available after much complaining. While waiting, I looked around at the historical stuff. There was a large room upstairs that was mostly empty and had a small display of info. Im not sure why they didnt have more cool OC law and order type history in that room. Wasteful. Anyway, its cheap to get married here and it should be because you spend significantly more time waiting in line than you do in your ceremony. The staircase is a nice photo op. The other redeeming factor is that this was the outside of Briarcliff in American Horror Story: Asylum.

Lovely place to get married! I really admire the architecture and history behind the building. The people who work there are really nice and patient. I remember walking in and the lady behind the desk directed us to sign in on the computers. After filling out the forms and signing in. they would call our names. We waited for a few minutes and our names were called. Its $89 for marriage certificate and civil ceremony. I didnt realize that you can rent the room for $100 and have a more formal ceremony in the courthouse. Great place to take engagement photos or learn about Orange County history. Tip: The courthouse is open M-F and once a month on a weekend. So if you dont have time to get married during the week; check when their special weekend open house is. Parking was free during the weekend. Get there early to get a spot 10 am - 3 pm

Great (unpretentious) historic spot for a wedding! Be careful to not confuse renting this room through Parks & Rec with the space associated with all the legal paperwork and fine print downstairs. IE if you have someone you want to officiate, make sure you check out the fees & paperwork associated.

Great place to get married - especially during Christmas. Make sure to make an appointment early. We decided to elope and spend time and money on our honeymoon. The best decision we ever made. The court house is so charming and a great place for photography.

Beautifully preserved courthouse. The museum is very well put together, and is a little treasure to find.
