I went to an American Ice Hockey League game between the San Diego Gulls and the hometown San Jose Barracuda about 2 weeks ago. The Zamboni Machine driver kept on missing long stretches of the ice he was charged with resurfacing. There were a few too many dog-and-pony acts (that is to say, more than zero) that made the organisation seem like rank amateurs. For instance, the person (or machine) in charge of the music did a crap job. Listening to Rap Music is always for more cultured individuals a crap experience as nearly all of the rap genre is anti-White European agitprop that is full of misogyny and calls-for-violence by Blacks and other so-called People-of-Colour who say they are pitted against an omnipresent White-European enemy. This type of pop culture (and I use this word in its technically-valid sense as, after all, any of the bits-and-pieces of a particular group, no matter how vulgar and primitive they may really be, is properly referred to as representing its Culture) is utter noise and only helped to lessen the overall quality of what would have been an otherwise much more entertaining experience if management had ensured that only some Classic Rock numbers had been utilised in its efforts to rile up the fans. There was an overweight Latin American female employee who thrice appeared on the rather poor-quality Mega-Tron T.V. screens with her effeminate and flamboyantly-gay White colleague. The female had dyed hair and was wearing a hoodie; the male had dyed hair and was wearing a bright pink shirt and tie. Their tacky-looking ensembles were nauseating. Worse, both of them demanded again and again that the sparse crowd "make soommmmeee nooooiiiizzzzeeee!!!!" This couple earnt every bit of scorn they received from the crowd for being juvenile, overbearing, and poorly-dressed. They really were bush league at best and crass at worst. Ordering the paying guests to baa baa baa at the top of their lungs like sheeple makes many, like me, not desire to visit S.A.P. Centre in future. The hockey players were entertaining and at least one of the Ushers comported himself well whilst another Usher, a rather plump and, perhaps, intoxicated Latino sporting a ridiculous-looking toupee that was dyed an extremely bright shade of yellow, sent three different groups of guests on wild goose chases for the toilets, their seats, and the Exit Doors of the arena. Hopefully, Management has by now smartened up and shown staff how to behave in a professional manner.

On Friday, July 21, 2017, Bruno Mars performed at the SAP Center as part of his 24K Magic World Tour. It was my first concert and thoroughly enjoyed it. I came here with my mom since she was also a fan of Bruno Mars music. We took Hwy 280 from the Peninsula to San Jose, which took about an hour considering the accidents on the road. Parking was pretty easy and it was $25 in exact change. Once doors opened at 6:45 PM, we went through security, got our tickets scanned and went straight to concession. There are more various concession stands (i.e. burgers, etc) in the back FYI - you dont need to settle for hot dogs and nachos. There was also a dining area near the burger concession stand with many tables. After we finished eating our dinner, we went to our seats and thats where I totally regretted choosing second level seats because it was too high up and I focused more on the screens to watch Bruno Mars than the actual person himself. Camila Cabello was the opening act and she was pretty good, kind of boring. If youre aware of Fifth Harmony, youd know who was Camila Cabello. Bruno Mars didnt actually perform until 9:30 PM. And more people trickled into the building after the opening act, which I found was a smart move considering the amount of people who were unfamiliar with Camila. Once Bruno Mars performed, standing on row 13 in section 202 wasnt that bad. Most people were careful not to fall forward. Overall, my first Bruno Mars concert was awesome and super fun. I loved the songs he performed as well as the two encore songs at the end. There were plenty of merch stands selling posters and t-shirts. I was able to get my hands on a $40 t-shirt with 24K Magic on the front and his tour locations on the back. Leaving the parking lot took a bit more time as expected, but once we were out of there thanks to policemen guiding traffic, we were able to head onto Hwy 101 toward San Francisco.

Their security and ushers are a complete joke. I went to the Black Sabbath concert yesterday with my brother and father. We arrived early and I was shown my seat by the usher. During the concert 3 males approached me and said we were sitting in their seats. They continued to stand right in front of me and before I knew it I was put in a wrist lock and was told to relax. I saw it was the same usher who sat me earlier had me in the wrist lock and was asking for my ticket again. He snatched that ticket from my hand and looked yet again and saw that i was sitting in the right seat. I was upset that the usher would grab me in such a matter so I asked to speak to his supervisor. Another usher, who i assume was his supervisor approached me. I told this usher that I was grabbed really hard by her employee, but she told me to sit in my seat or Id be asked to leave. I sat in my seat. Everybody was standing up though. Then a security guard approached me and told me if I continued to get in the way of the flow of traffic Id be asked to leave. I was in my seat. I tried to explain to him that the usher grabbed me and hurt my wrist. I asked for some ice and a medical report. He refused. Right behind me a group of people started to smoke marijuana. I approached the usher and asked him if he could tell the people smoking weed to stop. I was told to go back to my seat. 1 hr into the concert i was standing right next to my seat and dancing like everyone else. Next thing I know a group of security officers approached me and asked to speak with me. I complied. I was told that my dancing was provoking the usher and i needed to leave. It was humiliating. I had to wait for my father and brother outside. Ive been to numerous events at the SAP center and this time is the last. Shame on them.

My family and I were there on Tuesday to watch the Penguins/ Sharks game. This is the third time we have made the trip to San Jose to watch the Penguins play. Every time we have had terrible experiences, but this was by far the worst. Between the terrible staff (blue jackets), and the terrible fans, we decided that this will be the last year we make the trip. The rules in this building are absolutely ridiculous. No standing, no leaning forward in your seat, Im assuming no cheering or booing either. Unless you are doing it for the home team. Why would you go to a professional sporting event to sit quietly in your seat? Typical bay area attitude. The blue jackets kept spouting off about hockey etiquette... I dont even know what that means. You spend good money to go to a game because youre passionate about it, not to sit quietly in a seat and golf clap after your team scores a goal. I get why the local fans were so butt hurt, the Sharks lost 5-1 that night and didnt appreciate my group having such a good time in their house. This is probably why the Sharks choke in the playoffs every year. San Jose claims to be the best fans in the NHL, I hate to tell them but if they visited any real hockey city they would see that they are severely lacking in what makes a good hockey fan. Keep it up San Jose and maybe your team will go to a city that deserves it.
