이 곳 The Walt Disney Family Museum 이 그런 곳 중 하나입니다.

Chapeau !

As longtime fans of Disney (both the company and the man Walt), time at the Walt Disney Family Museum was a must for me and my wife on a recent trip to San Francisco. We had heard wonderful things about it, but nothing that prepared us for what we found inside. The same-as-every-other-building-in-the-Presidio facade doesnt hint at the variety of dazzling displays and memorabilia stored within. The multiple rooms of exhibits, arranged chronologically from before Walts birth, through his early years, first cartooning and filmmaking, move to California and the rise of Mickey Mouse, then through all of the decades of innovation, feature-length films, and eventually theme parks, are all extremely well-executed, with a variety of looks that keep the visitor engaged. There is SO MUCH to see here, I could easily spend a week going through the displays and still not have soaked in every detail. A lot of the exhibits are interactive; there is quite a bit of video associated with each display, and best of all, since Walt was such a public figure and did so many interviews and TV shows, most of the exhibits are narrated by Walt himself. And I still tear up thinking about the last room, which contained Walts daughters memories of his final days, and a wall full of editorial cartoons and telegrams to Lilian Disney expressing sorrow over his passing. For even a passing Disney fan, put this place at the top of your list of things to see at least once in your life. (Tip: the museum apparently shows Disney movies in its cozy downstairs theater, one film a week, showing daily at 1:00 p.m. Admission to the movie is included with admission to the museum, but you have to ask for a separate ticket. We showed up at 2:00, but were able to catch the last half of Mary Poppins -- a real unexpected treat to see it on a big screen!)

Must-see voor alle Disney-liefhebbers.

A veritable Holyland (see what I did there?) for Disneyana folks. The rafters are packed with exhibits, memorabilia, and artifacts from the life, works, and continuing influence of Walt Disney. This museum is not meant for children and especially not for kids under 10. The museum not only chronicles Walts LIFE but it also charts through the Walt Disney Companys history in a more broad stroke kind of way. Ultimately this museum extends far beyond Walt Disney and his company (that has "NO" affiliation with museum) and does a an even greater job of demystifying animation before convincing you once again that it really is just magic. Some interactivity and the staff is generally pleasant. Weirdest thing is to have a docent tell you how jealous they are of you because you live near Disneyland... and they all do. The museum also features an in house theatre which allows guests to see various Classic Disney films on the silver screen (I have seen "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." You should too) and let me say that nothing beats it. The gift shop is very small, one might call it intimate considering the handicrafts that also occupy the space. Do not expect to pick up the latest and greatest Disney nick-naks but instead more Main St. USA (did it again) homages to Disney products. I suggest getting the early films of Walt Disney on DVD there which features many of Walt and Companys many early animated shorts. Finally, consider supporting the museum. It is a wonderful place.
