Beautiful, busy 18-hole course with a great variety of "technical" (precise, curvy) shots and a few long throws as well. Top-notch installation with great tees and signage. SFDGC club members keep the course in great shape despite the heavy use. Great course for beginners, pros, and everyone in between. When you arrive at Marx Meadow, youll be in the middle of the course. Front nine starts close to the course kiosk, going generally counter-clockwise to the west. Back nine starts fairly close to the kiosk as well, going generally clockwise to the east. Flow note: After basket 16, tee 17 is up the hill and up the path -- almost back to tee 14. Its not intuitive, so first-timers often get confused here. Course regulars are super-friendly. If you need any help figuring out the course, getting some new discs, or just finding someone to toss with -- just ask!

Incredible 18 hole public disc golf course. Free to the public. Extremely well maintained for a open, free, public course. Theres probably nothing like this anywhere else in the country! A great many technical challenges (long straightaways, elevation changes, interesting hazards, and even a few hedgerows to lose ones discs in...) make this a course that holds up after many, many games. This course is always busy on the weekends, but fairly chill on weekdays. Theres usually someone out there selling "found" discs and someone else selling... other stuff... as well. Its a fairly secluded area of Golden Gate Park, but there are great picnicking areas all around the course, so pack in some munchies for later.

Good disc golf course, easily accessed from Golden Gate Park. A nice variety of holes and elevation challenges. A bit too close to the other park activities for my liking. Some of the holes are plain or dangerous (backtracking over fairways to get to the next tee). Overall a good course and decently maintained. In good shape for a course that probably sees a lot of players.

One of the best disc golf courses around but it can get crowded. If you come earlier in the mornings or on weekdays, its not so bad. The holes are somewhat decent too, with some a tad more difficult than others. Reasonably challenging as well. Its better to come here with at least one other person as its somewhat easy to lose your discs in the surrounding trees.

Best disc golf course right in the middle of beautiful golden gate park. It can get pretty crowded during the weekends, especially in the afternoon -- but you still cant beat it for the location and the awesome holes that are changed up quite often. Be sure to check if there are any private tournaments prior to heading out there!

Challenging course with lots of gold obstacles and interesting holes. Very busy during the weekend, less so during the work week. Places to grill and have lunch with groups nearby, and a typically pretty friendly regular crowd.

Nice course, kept up well, played an early morning round while I was in town visiting friends. Merged up with some locals, made finding the next holes much easier. Definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

By far one of the best courses Ive seen. We loved the back nine. Far more challenging and super fun. This is definitely a must stop.

Just play off peak time for stoners (mornings) and the course is yours. Front 9 is the best in my opinion.
