My wife and I love Aquatic Warehouse. All of the employees there have been REALLY helpful. I dont know about the other reviewers who said they got poor customer service, but weve gotten great service from everyone there. Sure, occasionally they are busy and have more customers needing help than employees available, but you can hardly fault the employees for that. They take the time to answer our questions (and there are lots) and help us through some of the decisions we need to make in setting up our new system. The facilities are always clean, the fish and corals have been healthy and pest-free, and they have a great selection of fish, invertebrates and corals. Were really never disappointed when we visit Aquatic Warehouse. We just spent $1,500 on a new 100g rimless tank/stand and noticed that it had a couple of blemishes on the front of it that we werent happy with. Even though it was a minor blemish, they sent it back to have it fixed/and or a new one rebuilt to the same specs for us without us even having to ask for it. Great place and surely worth a visit.

I NEVER leave feed back whether its positive or negative.With that being said i have been looking for some black diamond chichlids (para talapia polleni) a pretty rare fish for over a year only place i could find them was online And i didnt want to spend the sixty dollars on shipping ( for a 15 dollar fish) so i stumbled upon this place. I spoke with derrick i believe it was and he said they get them occasionaly he will look for me and call back in a week first week no luck he said try back in two weeks .ok not a problem with me i understand the rarity of this fish .neways he called me a few days later hey i got them in you can come pick them up anytime .YAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY finally i have my fish at home in there new home i love the selection and customer service this place offers as i am new to SD.My business is won wont even consider anyother place in san deigo thank you guys for being such a premium retailer. I truely can not express how thrilled i am with this experience.

Im done with this place. Theyve got the worst service Ive ever seen in any retail chain. If you go there, be prepared to stand around for hours and literally have to grab someone by the scruff of the collar until theyll pay attention to you. I went at 10:00 in the morning, only person in the place, and still got ignored for 20 minutes. Finally, I grab a step ladder to get the filter I needed from the top shelf and at that point the owner decides to pay attention and yells at me for violating OSHA rules. Needless to say, if my fish werent dying I would have thrown that 300 dollar filter in his face and walked out. Several more rude comments made by him as I pay until he walks away without saying a word and leaves the girl at the register to finish the purchase. Never going again. I say that everytime, and only went this time in an emergency, but now I mean it. I recommend elsewhere, Goldfish World, Octopuss Garden, hell even Petsmart over these idiots. Nuff said.

The place is quite large, not overly priced on their marine stuff, which some place can be much higher. They have quite a selection of everything for fresh or salt water. If you need parts to set up your plumbing, this is the place to come. All variety of hardware, I specifically needed bulkheads, and they have up to some significant sizes. Many options up to 2" for fittings, and such, and they did have larger stuff, but Im guessing special order after 2". I needed a light for the tank, and they were only slightly more than Amazon, so I would consider them very reasonably priced. The fish and stuff was well priced as well, and a pretty good selection, if not some rather interesting specimens. There were not many people in there the time I went, and I was asked at least 3 or 4 times if i had questions or needed help. Except for bulkheads, i was mostly just checking things out. Well impressed.

Store is stocked nicely of things you need and they have a variety of fish and corals. I do have a small issue with the staff, including the owner. I found that on several visits when talking about equipment I may need they seemed to talk down to me like i was wasting there time. I admit im not the most educated person when it comes to salt aquariums, although i could of done without the attitude. I do believe they are unaware they do it, but its worth mentioning. I will continue to go there only after ive exhausted my search with the other two fish stores (aquasd and octopuss gardens) in Kearny Mesa. The store is nicely laid out and they alway have something interesting to look at. Im going to give them 4 out of 5 stars for variety of Fish and corals. Id give them a 5 if they sent the entire staff to customer training school (including the owner).

Worst place ever. The employees just mingle among themselves in their exclusive little club house. Ive been here numerous times and have been ignored more times than I have been here. This last instance, there were at least 6 employees all huddled around the cash register, begrudgingly helping customers when they have free time from their important conversations. And many times you will see employees too busy feeding fish to help customers. OK, I understand that the fish need to eat, but is feeding an excused not to help customers? And dont get me started on their pompous talk about fish and corals. Your latin vocabulary or internet knowledge is not going to sell me on anything. This is a fish store and honestly I dont except employees at retails store to be the best. But Pet Warehouse employees are simply disgraceful.

Danny was very helpful with giving us answers for all of our overwhelming questions. All the staff were incredibly friendly and they have a great variety of aquariums, fish food, actual fish, and decoration as well as the essentials for fishtank. Great quality goldfish and other fish. They have a great extension of fish that would not be sold at your regular PETCO or PETSMART! All the staff truly care about your opinions and will reccomend to you some options that are great! All the staff were very experienced. I strongly reccomend this place to everyone who has fish or planning to get fish. Even if you are a novice or a proffesional breeder!

This place and pet kingdom are the only two local fish stores I know of that have a half decent freshwater/planted tank selection. Ive never had issue with their service, because I look up everything I need to know online before I go in. The fish seem pretty healthy, and the prices are high but not unreasonable considering there arent many local alternatives. They have an amazing driftwood selection and the only place I know of that carries fluval stratum substrate by the bag. Until a competitor moves in with better prices and more of a focus on planted tanks, this is where I will go.

Great Service, Friendly, Seem Very Knowledgeable, & Very Helpful! Was hesitant walking into this store because previous reviews, though right when I walked in with my 3 year old, we were quickly greeted by all staff when came in visual contact. We were able to look around without pressure, and were very helpful when discussing possibility of getting a new system. They even provided me with helpful websites to research and learn about the aquarium world. Very friendly, beautiful atmosphere and really rad fish! Definitely a place I will come back to to make my purchases!
