We were on a family vacation in California and Los Angeles from the UK, stopping by Sacramento for the day and night... and decided as a family (me, my mum and dad and my 13 year old nephew) to go out for tea and catch Petes Dragon as wed wanted to see it and heard good things.... this was on Monday August 15th. The problem started when we arrived in the theatre to sit down and watch the movie scheduled to start at 9pm... it was 9.05 and nothing had happened, a blank screen and no music playing while we waited or anything... it was only at about 9:15 or 9:20 that anyone went to tell someone, me included who went too... and they said theyll sort it... still nothing for a good ten more minutes... eventually, who knows what time.... the lights dimmed and then nothing happened... everything came on again, this time including the theatre radio... which suddenly was playing. A few minutes later, finally the film began... but with no sound.... the film was playing for the first great ten minutes with the radio playing instead of the movies soundtrack... this was horrific and really ruined the impact of the beginning of the movie... eventually about 15 minutes in everything corrected for the rest of the film... which was a great film but jarred by the mishandling of the beginning of it.... Problem is, apart from the one person who said they were working on it... there was nothing from anyone to re-assure us in advance or to see the progress... not much interest at all or help The one time we as a family visited the theatre while stateside and this happens... safe to say we didnt visit again while in the US

We have been visiting this theatre for at least 5 years now and its becoming a much less stellar experience as time goes on. We used to be able to get in and order concessions before a movie without much wait, but it feels like the staff has become slower and slower over time, with lines for concessions taking upwards of 20+ minutes regardless of it being an opening night or a Sunday morning showing. The theatres also seem to be less clean than they used to be, with the sticky floor and dirty seats full of crumbs being the main culprits. Although not necessarily the theatres fault, the amount of viewers that completely disregard being courteous and silencing cell phones during showings is staggering. The last showing we attended had 2 people playing games on their cell phones during the movie, with sound on. I would like to see the theatre possibly have an usher check the theatre every once in a while and start enforcing the policy.

Regal has always strived to make the moviegoing experience as mediocre as possible. Now theyve outdone themselves- all movies are now LETTERBOXED on every screen with NO MASKING! Most screens there were common-width to begin with, they have one remaining proper side-masked screen (#12) but they are now showing scope movies on that letterboxed with the side masking staying in! #11 originally had side-masking also, but its been re-done as an "RPX" theater with a not-so-big screen that looks like it belongs in a sports bar more than a movie theater, and of course its natively 1.85 so you get letterboxing there as well, and you pay a few dollars more for the privilege also. Be sure to come early for the commercials too!

The worse movie theater. The pizza was under cooked (as always), the hot dog bun was rock hard, the arm rests dont go up. the small photo booth cost $5 and doesnt do anything the blababooth does for $3. the restrooms are extremely small. way too much walking down hall ways. box office line way too long. parking is very difficult. not enough disabled parking spots. the consessions are disgusting. I grabbed a pack of keychup and was forced to open it with my teeth, and the packet and some type of spicy stuff on it. napkin dispensers empty. its just horrible. smh yeah ummmm never again.

Never use your atm/credit card to purchase anything at this theater. I was buying gift cards and the manager was waiting on me. He had trouble getting the cards to work so he voided the transaction and ran my card again. Said he had credited me the 1st transaction. When I looked at my back account 2 days later they had charged me both times. Called the theater and they said it takes up to 10 days to get my money back. So they are tying up my $105 until Christmas eve. How is that fair that Im penalized because their computer wouldnt work correctly. Never again...

Sat in theater 12. First impression, popcorn all over the floor in the row we went to. Seats smelled like urine. Moved one row back and smell was better. Pretty sure those seats had been peed on. Very dated theater. Consessioners not attentive. Stood in a line when there were just guys standing around. Didnt know if they were open but someone else went up to the counter and got helped. They could have called us over to them so we didnt have to wait. Ticket guy was friendly. Visiting from out of town so not a good impression at all.

I enjoy this theater although at some times parking can be a bit of a pain. There is lots of it, however rather spread out. The concessions are expansive and the theaters are nice. They do have IMAX, 3D and RPX (Regals own "premium experience") however the screens are not the fill size IMAX (as there are only 2 of those in the greater Sacramento area.) Recommend signing up for the rewards program as you can get them fairly quickly. They do run a lot of first run movies and often run them on multiple screens due to popularity.

Ive been a paying customer several times at this establishment and almost every time Ive attended Ive noticed one of the womens bathrooms has a raw sewage stench permeating from it. The bathroom was clean but the smell was unbearable. My most recent visit was cut short due to the smell making me feel ill. I strongly suggest some better cleaning methods and maybe you should get a plumber to look at your bathrooms. Its not healthy especially for an establishment that cooks and serves food and beverages.

RPX with 3D still cost me $21.50 on $5 Tuesday for two movie tickets, but, Leather Seats! Would have rated low because the concession attendants moved like the Sloths at the DMV in Zootopia, but a quick, "Excuse me are you the manager?" conversation got my popcorn bucket refilled really fast and was back in my movie watching the Ghostbusters kick some ass. Thank you manager lady. By the way, you still need a popcorn refill express lane. Just sayin...

This is a great local place to catch a movie... but the prices are slightly expensive and the seats in the auditoriums smells like butt cracks and sweaty backs. In order to be in a nice theater you would have to order RPX movie tickets because they have the cleanest Auditorium. And dont forget to stop by for 6 dollar Tuesdays one of my favorite days to catch a great movie for a great low price.

This place is filthy. I attended a 3:45 showing on a Wednesday. There was trash left in every row we tried. My tennis show made that sticky creaking sound every step in the aisles. My arm rests were greasy with what I suspected to be popcorn butter. I failed in my attempt to find an oasis from the heat. The AC was not the typical movie theater cold, more like 78-80 degrees. Will not return.
