My wife and I wanted to do something special (and affordable) for our 1-year anniversary. We found the Inn at the Cove online and were impressed right away. This hotel is simply a gem. The location cannot be better. Great amenities on-site and the facilities were perfectly maintained. But what really impressed us were the little things. For example, upon arrival, we were surprised to see that the hotel left us complementary wine and a warm (hand-written) card congratulating us on our anniversary. In addition, the hotel is FULL of complementary stuff: complementary snacks and (flat and sparkling) water in the room, free breakfast with tons of yummy choices, Bath & Body Works soaps, and more. I work in real estate and I certainly know that these things cost a lot of money and they add up!! Seems that the Inn at the Cove doesnt "penny-pinch" and focuses on customer satisfaction first. My wife and I have already recommended this place to two couples and look forward to staying there regularly going forward! Dont even hesitate to book, I promise you wont be sorry!

Loved our stay in Pismo Beach and The Inn at the Cove. The view from our room was amazing. We sat on our balcony in the evening and watched the sun set over the ocean. There are walking trails all around the hotel with spectacular views. They even have these swing/hammocks where you can watch the ocean or lull yourself to sleep in the afternoon sun. I was very tempted to take an afternoon nap in one of these things but didnt want to wake up a lobster. While it was a little cool, the pool was well heated. They didnt have a gym, but their sister hotel down the street did. Guests are able to walk 10 minutes down the street and access the gym there. Our stay included a free breakfast. I was expecting a few pastries and cereal, but they also had sausage, eggs, and waffles. The staff was super nice and helpful. I would stay here again.

The Inn at the Cove staff were helpful. We stayed one night as a meeting point between our nuclear family from the Bay Area, and extended family from the Los Angeles area. Bad weather and a city-wide power outage made the experience uniquely challenging, but neither would be the responsibility of the hotel. The views, grounds, and amenities were lovely and one has the sense they have a respect for preserving the coastline. The breakfast was well stocked with many options, and I would recommend some thought be put into how to better prepare the hot food items including the eggs, bacon, and sausage. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and one would get the impression that some of the coat of the room could be accounted for by the view and grounds themselves, rather than amenities.

We arrived before check in time. Room wasnt ready but we were told we could use the pool etc whilst we waited. Is a lovely pool area with incredible views out to the ocean. Check in was no hassle at all. Staff were very nice and we were given a bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon. We took the wine back to our room (601) which was a lower floor ocean view room ... the view was spectacular!! We sat on the balcony having a drink and spotted some whales in the distance ... we sat watching them for hours! Beds were comfy and bathroom was good. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Dinner places within walking distance. Staff were lovely! All in all, a fantastic stay! When we come back to CA in the future, we will definitely be going back :)

Room was decent, nothing special really. It was small but well furnished and clean. The hotel grounds were nice. There was walking access to both Pismo and Shell Beach. The contental breakfast was one of the better I have had. Lastly the internet was okay at best. My speed test during the afternoon showed around 20Mbps down. However in the evening it slowed to around 0.7Mbps which isnt enough to stream 360p video from YouTube. The only major complaint was that upon arrival the hideaway bed lacked any sheets in the room and even after calling the desk we only received one sheet.

We stayed here quite awhile ago before moving here. The location is amazing, especially when (or if it is safe) you can walk around the back of the hotel & possibly down to the "Hidden Cove". It does look like erosion & work on the hotel grounds has made it hazardous to try to go down to the Cove. The grounds of the hotel boast rabbits & seabirds. The views here are fantastic. It is so easy to either walk to some eats, or have them delivered to you (e.g. Pizza/ Italian Food from Guiseppes, Dels, or Rosas). Since it is located off the main drag, it is rather serene here.

This is our second stay here in the past two months. We stayed on the lower floor the first time, and this time we were able to book a room on the upper floor. Both are wonderful in terms of the view of the ocean. We were disappointed to discover that they have cut down on their breakfast offering. They used to offer scrambled eggs and sausages, which we did not find during our second stay. They also used to offer cookies and hot cocoa with marshmallows at the front desk, but we were not offered the same treats this time around (much to our childrens disappointment :)).

Good value, and the best views of any hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. We stayed 3 nights of a 3 week road trip and wished we had spent twice that. Large, clean and beautiful rooms in the best location in Pismo Beach. It is outside the main town (2 minute drive) and just off the freeway for convenience but we didnt find it a problem after the initial concern (everything else is too along that coast). The wildlife is just awsome... we saw whales, seals, pelicans, cormorants, rabbits to name but just a few and spent hours just looking out to sea and taking photos

The room was nice and the hotel has a fantastic location at the edge of a cliff. We were greeted with a glass of wine each and reception was very nice. My only complaint is that we booked our hotel through a third party and we paid to upgrade to a full ocean view. Turns out the full ocean view wasnt actually one, we mostly faced the access road and an ugly fence. I was told it was because even with upgrades, the hotel only reserves certain rooms for the third party. Had we been told that, maybe we wouldnt have been so disappointed with the view.

The Inn at the Cove was great. Beautiful, slightly secluded location with nice views. Enjoyed the hot chocolate bar upon arrival. Staff was very friendly. Lots of random places to sit and enjoy the view throughout the property. The free breakfast was simple but nice. Theres a nice, small little beach cove thats very quiet. The room was nice with an ocean view balcony. The bed was really firm and some of the door handles needed to be replaced (they were falling off) but we still enjoyed our stay. Would come back again.
