The Shoreline Boathouse which is built on a San Francisco Bay inlet. Notice the Google campus as you drive down Shoreline Blvd. to its end. Drive through the gate, and with the golf course on your left and the S.F. Bay on your right, drive a winding road ending at the parking area. When you see the white beautiful Rengstorff House (free tours daily), youll be at the Shoreline Boathouse parking lot. The upscale lunch menu includes exquisite salads, sandwiches, and homemade desserts. Eat inside or on the patio at cozy tables & chairs. Sailboat, kayak or paddle boat rentals are available. Parking is convenient in the off season, and more congested in the summertime. Bike racks are available for patrons biking in. Restrooms available.

Vast open space that makes you forget you are within a few minutes of densely populated Silicon Valley. Ive seen so many interesting natural things here on my various strolls, and the landscape is varied from area to area. Most walking trails have little to no shade, and the grassy areas arent quite suitable for picnicking (due to unevenness or geese poop). Parents with strollers beware! Lots of geese poop around the lake areas. Use your baby carrier instead or be prepared to wash off when home.

Beautiful mini getaway East of the 101 in Mountain View. I wouldnt recommend swimming in here but its great for all other water activities: rent a kayak or paddleboat (currently $24/hour), do wind surfing, or just walk around Shoreline Park - its a popular spot for locals and families over the weekend, and a nice retreat for the nearby Tech office employees during the week. The historic Rengstorff house (you can rent it for your wedding!) and the Shoreline Golf course are nearby.

This is a scenic lake near San Jose. A great place for casual walks or runs around the lake. There are birds here alongside the beautiful lake, so Its a nice place for photography enthusiasts. Looks great at Sunset. This is also a boathouse, so you can rent a pedal / row boat or kayak on hourly or per day basis. The charges are nominal. There is also a cafe which is good. You get hot soups, fries and more. Ive heard they also provide picnic baskets.

Today, we rented a paddle boat for $22/hr and went around the lake. It is the perfect place to learning sailing/windsurfing or go running/cycling around the track or to sail a model boat. They have all the equipment like sail boat, row boat, single or double kayak, windsurfing board and standup paddle board with life vests all at reasonable rental prices! I want to learn sailing and plan to go back to undergo classes.

Great meeting spot, but pricey to participate in activities on the lake. That said, they do offer plenty from pedal boats to kayaks and small sailboats. The lake is sizable with plenty of sites to see if you take a kayak out, especially around the edges. The boathouse does have event space, too, but I havent ever used it. The park around the boathouse is fantastic, too, so make sure to check that out.

This is a family-friendly entertainment complex conveniently located in the middle of the peninsula. It is a convenient location for events and gatherings with plenty of trails for hiking and running as well as the actual lake, which features sailboating, kayaking, canoing, stand-up paddle boarding and wind-surfing. There is ample parking, but it is best to get there early on weekends and holidays.

It is good in general, only few things that I should mention. Parking is a problem here. It is quite small. There are some additional parking a bit far from the lake, but these are golf club and restaraunt parkings. So, I am not sure if it is a good idea to park there. Another problem is bird dung near the lake. So, it is not much fun to look at this stuff when you just want to walk near the lake.

Nice. Never used their water services, but like the concept and others appear to really enjoy it. Eat outside, people watch, enjoy spring and summer weather, walk the grounds, dodge the geese poop, good luck with the parking. If you enjoy being around people and being outside and especially if you have a family with younger children, definitely stop by the area in general.

週末のレクリエーションの場所としてオススメです。家族連れで水遊びに興じる人も多いです。駐車場が激混みするので、週末の午後に到着する場合はお気をつけください!ビールも売ってます。

One of our favorite easy access places we go to when we want to unwind and just be around water. Has really good places and shades under trees to sit at and usually ducks are walking around you can try to feed them saw many people do. This also has easy access to a small restaurant with some salad and sandwiches options and lots of desserts.

Nice options for sailing, kayaking, paddle boating. Lots of crane, ducks in the lake. The surrounding park is really beautiful. You will see beautiful nature all day long. You have to fall in love with nature after visiting here. Best place for get together, picnic , cycling or kite flying. Wish the kids play area would have been bigger..

Nice place for outdoor activities, on water and on land. This time I went bike riding with my son on the trails. We just stayed around the immediate area and didnt venture out towards Palo Alto. I liked that it wasnt crowded. It was late afternoon on a Monday. Its also a perfect place for kite flying. Next time well go on the paddelboat.

This park is awesome. The lake is big enough to have sail boats, pedal boats, kayaks and canoes cohabit in one place. Rentals are fair, $25 per hour for pedal boats. I love looking at the sun shining on the waters, soooo pretty! People picnic, fly kites, ride bikes and play ball here. There is also plenty of parking.

The water by the boathouse is duck poop dirty but still an amazing place to visit. If you come here do it mostly for the breathtaking shoreline walking / cycling trails in the back that show the Bay waters. You pass thru Google HQ to get here and its a little hidden but a great place to relax your mind

I love this park. I used to bike all the way to Palo Alto turn around and go back to Mountain View. One Fourth of July the San Francisco Symphony played there and there was a huge display of fireworks at the end of a fantastic performance. I really truly enjoyed myself. Unforgettable!!!!!!!

I love heading to Shoreline Park for simple scenic walks without having to drive to far. They also have rentable kayaks, canoes, and sailboats if you want to try something a little different. The lake is beautiful, although there isnt much shade, so bring sunscreen or a hat around midday.

Come early for brunch on the cafe or for a walk along the lake. There are many geese near the boat house, but walking further toward the marsh lands, one can see dozens of different species of birds. A one-hour rental is sufficient for kayaks or pedal boats, as the lake is not very big.

Fun place to hang and walk about. Nice staff as well. We did a work team event there and built a boat out of cardboard, was a really fun time. The restaurant is also surprisingly busy for the luck set and has some good food as well. Beware the birds though, they will take your food ;)

Nice little spot away from civilization. Found this place one day on a weekend. It can get busy during the weekends, but theres enough to do - hiking, walking or even paddle boating (fee involved). Theres a restaurant in the actual area, BUT have not had a chance to try it just yet.
