Let me start off by saying that this is a really good venue. There is a nice lawn area, the seats are fairly comfortable, restrooms and amenities are great. The thing that ruins the experience is the logistics of getting in and out of the venue which is a free for all mad-house. I live in Concord and was attending a show that started at 8pm. Cool. Reading previous reviews about the venue and the difficulty getting in, we left the house at 7:10pm. WE DIDN"T MAKE IT TO OUR SEATS UNTIL 8:10pm. The first issue: SIGNAGE. The venue is located on Kirker Pass Rd which is 3 lanes wide. As you turn onto it, there are signs that say to use all 3 lanes. But what they neglect to say is that Public Parking is the first right, a sign that you dont see until it is too late. So naturally people who are in the left and far left lanes are trying to merge in and turn at last second. Since everything is so crazy it seems like theres no difference between parking tiers so people paying for VIP parking are just being duped. It did not appear to me that anybody was checking to see if cars had VIP parking passes. The parking lots are just big dirt patches and there are personnel that guide each car into a spot. There is some semblance of organization so that cars can leave early, but each lot seems to only have one way in and one way out and only enough room for 1 car to pass. Getting out. You dont haha. Once the show ends every car in your parking lot and the other lots will be trying to squeeze out of that one car exit. It was like vehicle constipation. An intestine filled with hundreds of cars trying to squeeze out of one car hole with all the ensuing madness. People honking and revving their engines, common courtesy was out the window. If you have a dash cam, I suggest you bring it. When you make it home you can be relieved that you just survived 45 minutes of what it would be like to be in a post-apocalyptic environment.

Dear Concord Pavillion, I along with several friends attended the KBLX Stone Soul concert yesterday. Although we were not thrilled with the new cooler policy we ALL went out and bought new coolers to comply with the new size rules only to arrive and see that the rule was NOT being enforced. Rolling Coolers WERE allowed in among many other sized coolers that were listed as not permitted. Needless to say we were LIVID especially since there are some of us with serious back problems and the rolling coolers is a lot easier on those of us with back issues and does not aggravate our back conditions. Secondly, parking is STILL very confusing, disorganized and riduculous. I dont understand why handicapped parking in the paved area is so limited but is VERY plentiful in the unpaved area that is rocks and gravel. I do however applaud the golf carts and shuttle vans to the gate. HOWEVER, disabled parking needs to improve drastically, one way of accomplishing this is to require anyone using a disabled placard actually be the owner of the placard along with the proper paperwork and identification; O.CO does this and it works very well. Lastly, organized exiting of the parking lot is a major FAIL. There is no direction or traffic control, the people you have in place to do this DO NOT, they allow people cut people off, cut into already moving traffic and make NO effort maintain traffic control as a result of this verbal altercations can occur and arguments ensue. People pay entirely too much money for tickets to attend concerts at this venue to have less than a stellar experience. Im not exactly sure whats so new and improved about the venue as kept being advertised; however, from me and my friends and other attendees point of view all thats new or different is the name. The same shenanigans STILL exist.

I am soo super duper satisfied with this place i just saw last weekend the Merry Jane Presents Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa Concert yeaa boiii !! AWESOME experience first Free Parking , Well organized parking staff they instruct you where to park so you dont get blocked in by anybody, then on our way up before approaching the hill there is a guy with a five seat buggy that gave us a ride up the hill to the entrance gate, Sweeeet ! Lines going in are super fast , make sure tickets on phone are ready to be scanned, alot of concessions stands with beer , hot dogs, fries, chicken nuggets, or wine and soft drinks, seats were great only if everybody is sitting down otherwise if everyone is standing up you will have to stand up too to see the performer on stage, acoustics awesome sound , screens are available but i think only for the main act because otherwise you can use the zoom in on your cell cam to see performer ig you are sitting in the grass area , bathrooms are a plenty , just dont wait last minute after concert is over to use it because even tho i left before twn min concert is over i am guseeing there will be long waiting lines to use bathrooms as i think everybody will be holding it in so,as to not miss anything the concert has to offer, now exit wise , breeze just leave a lil bit before concert ends this concer began at 7 pm, so i left at like around 11:10 pm and had no prob, now this advice is theee most of upmost importance please have a designated driver ready with you if you drank any alcohol at all at the concert because the concord police will be out in full force after the concert is over, so be smart and be safe and have an awesome experience. PEACE !!!

7/6/14 How lucky are we to have a great music venue so close to home. Its small, but its convenient and they get some good bands coming through here. Ive seen shows here for over a decade. Most recently my husband and I came for a group of concerts, seven artists for an all-day show. It was Caseys first time here so we had fun walking around (even though theres really not a lot to see). We had seats but brought a blanket in case we wanted to cuddle on the grass. It gets cold at night and often very windy so bring layers (and a blanket - we ended up using ours at our seats). You can also bring in a cooler and we brought some water, cheese, meat, and crackers. It saved us a lot of money on the Pavilion food, since Im known to snack. We did buy one churro. We asked an employee where they sell them and he pointed to the main food area. Wrong! Thank goodness I asked at the window since the line was so long. Small carts sell them and hot dogs, but were sold out even though it was early in the day. We gave up but luckily a man came walking around with churros for sale later in the evening. Where did he get these?! It didnt matter... We paid for the mid-tier parking (it was $10, $20, or $40 to park). $20 got us up close and got us out fast. Cant wait until our next concert here, live music is so amazing and it was a wonderful and cheap date night.

I have mobility issues walking up and down stairs especially walking up stairs. Throughout the Stone Soul Concert, I was allowed to walk down the stairs to go to the elevator to take me up to the parking lot level with no problem until later on in the show. I decided to go to the bathroom just before the Isley Brothers were set to go on. When I got to the bottom of the stairs to walk over to elevator the guard stopped me and said that I was not allowed to come down there. I explained to her my mobility issues and how I needed to use the elevator to go up to the bathroom. She asked for my ticket and I presented it to her, she then told me that I needed to go to the bathroom up the stairs. I repeated to her again, I cant walk up the stairs, I can barely walk down and I need to take the elevator to go up. Another patron who was there heard our conversation and asked her, how do you handle ADA situations here? Shes explained to you that she cant walk up the stairs and needs to use the elevator. The guard then moved out of the way and allowed me to pass. I feel that their security staff needs to be trained better on how to handle ADA situations to accommodate the needs of people with mobility issues.
