I have tickets to the POST lecture series and I have a problem. I cant hear the speakers when they move away from the podium. The hearing device that you provide does not work with the lapel mic. Sometimes the speaker stays behind the podium and I can hear just fine, but some of them insist on moving to the side or they walk around and I definitely can not hear. The sound is plenty loud but the words are garbled. The April 13 lecture will be impossible for me as the speaker will be in the middle of the stage being interviewed. The Performing Arts Center should make sure all of their equipment supports the hearing impaired. I love your theater except for this problem. I have enjoyed many of the lectures, but the ones that depend on the lapel mic drive me crazy. Can you get a better mic for those speakers who cant use the podium mic? (I talked to another person who checked out your device and he had the exact same problem that I had.)

Cant paint the town red without watching a performance here. Offers a plethora of shows from simple local playhouses for children to professional, national, even worldwide actors, singers, musicians, speakers. Narrow but tall lobby showcase art exhibits, upper level gives a feeling of grandeur walking up the curved staircase. Small adjoining cafe offers intermission snacks and drinks. Becare careful when choosing the very end of the row seating because the view can be obstructed a bit. During Christmas time Santa Clause makes a photo-op visit for all the little children.

The production of "To Kill a Mockingbird" was disappointing. Sierra Stephens diction was so poor that it was almost impossible to understand her. In general,the acting fell far short of our usual TheatreWorks experience. It was amateurish and unprofessional.

Old EVSE: 4 Level2 (3 AVCON, 1 SPI), no Level1 outlet, located on wall nearest to entrance/exit. Parking hours are restricted, be sure to check signage so you can re-enter to leave. Many things to do nearby, with many restaurants and shops along Castro St.

I loved the TheatreWorks production of Of Mice and Men here, and its a nice building. We bought cheap seats last-minute and still had a good view. It wasnt overly hot as some venues can be when packed with hundreds of people.

Beautiful building and a great place to watch a show. We came here to watch Smuin ballet in the main theater. All the seats have great views and the staff is polite and helpful. Well be back!!
