The parking and entrance are free. There is a film about the ranch, then you can visit the ranch which had goats, sheep, ducks, rabbits etc. They said sometimes they also have horses as well. There are also beautiful gardens with unique plants, and a free guided tour of the beautiful Bixby house/former adobe which took a little over an hour. Very interesting and the woman at the reception was very nice and welcoming. A great free attraction if you are in the area.

Beautiful places to stroll and enjoy. Great manicured garden and mature succulent garden. I love the blue pots/vases around many settings. Benchs here and there. I go to paint in plein air, always a peaceful time. They also have farm animals and an old tractor. They give tours but I go to sit in peace. No cost but open to the public only certain hours most days.

Today, was my first visit to Rancho Los Alamitos.It is a hidden treasure in Long Beach. The gardens are beautiful and the animals were all nice to view and photograph. It was a pleasant and peaceful place to spend a Saturday afternoon.
