I went by myself and want to have dinner at the bar. On previous occasions this was always fine. This time I was told to get a table if I wanted dinner because it is easier for the waitress to serve the food was the explanation. It came down me leaving the establishment since I was not going to take a table by myself. Very really bad business model. What restaurant doesnt serve food at the bar?

The salmon and the teriyaki beef were were very flavorful. They have a back room that you can call ahead to reserve where one can experience a more traditional eating atmosphere. In the front of the restaurant you are more causal and in the back after youve reserved it (dinner only)its more formal and a shoes off affair. See the pictures I posted.

Very authentic Japanese food, bargain priced! The ambience reflects its 50 years of age, but thats part of the charm. Its family owned and operated, so if its busy the service can be a little slow. Its worth it. Have the Sukiyaki and a signature Singapore Sling, youll love it!

My husband proposed 25 years ago at this restaurant. Now our family of 5 are still coming and enjoying ourselves. The food and prices are great. The owners welcome and talk to you like youre part of the family. Thank you Tokyo Garden for wonderful memories.

I must admit I cannot even pronounce the name of the meal I got here. After a check-up I can say it is called "Chicken Sukiyaki" and after enjoying it I can recommend it without haste or hesitation. Furthermore the atmosphere and the service are okay.
