Its very new and experiencing a shake-down. It opened on 10/3. They have specialty cocktails, specialty on tap beers and appetizers, salads and hearty entrees. The chef also works with soldiers daughter and the late mineral. We had the house cured gravlax. Amazing and six lovely portions. Nice pickled onions and house sour cream. Tasty! My issue was with the drinks. We ordered the specialty Bloody Mary and a vodka martini with a lemon twist. The Bloody Mary came in a half liter wine carafe garnished with a slice of glazed bacon, bacon salt, pickled corn and cauliflower. The presentation was odd because you had no idea how to drink it. One busser handed us a beer glass and straws. Straws were too short to access the yummies on the bottom. We dumped the drink into the other glass and removed the accents to a plate. Very tasty but we were loosing some of the yummies on the bottom. Rinsed out the carafe twice with soda to get the remainders. All in all very tasty but weird to consume. My Martini came first in a dof with a slice of lime and rocks. Wrong. I requested a replacement. It came in a martini glass with a lemon wedge and a pick with three olives. Wrong again! I talked to the server and explained vodka, shaken and garnished with lemon twists. After she consulted with several other people I finally got a decent martini. Sad! The owner did comp me the martini. The owners are very nice and trying hard. I will return but hope they get the drinks together.

The food was classic pub food but with one difference, there was a twist on everything. The result was sensational food. The best food I have had in Murphys. The problem is they have been open for several months and mistakes were made by chef and service in general seemed overwhelmed. They were apologetic etc. If they get this under control this will be the place. We did not sample every thing but what we did try was shockingly good. Little concerned that they are still so slow and making basic errors after 2 months. I opened a restaurant 30 years ago. It was the most fun but the hardest work of my life. I wish then the most luck and success.

Love, love, love this place! Super cute little pub style restaurant. Great selection of menu items and cocktails/drinks to choose from. Excellent burger, cooked to your personal preference and to perfection. The Bloody Mary is a must... service was wonderful. Thanks Guy for making our visit a great one! I hear the fish and chips are delish too! Cant wait to visit again.

We were just passing through and thought to give it a chance. I think it is relatively new business and has a lot of potential. The food was good with several that had a spin on traditional "bar food". Dont remeber what we had but I know all 8 of us finished our food. Some nice lesser known wines to be had also.

Need a place to get a bite to eat on your way to Calaveras State Park? Then you NEED to stop here. Ordered the Chicken Burger and thr Pub Burger between my wife and I and they were amazing We both ate 1/2 of each. Fantastic food, good music, great place to enjoy before getting on with the drive and the day.

DELICIOUS garlic chicken burger and even though their house salad LOOKED plain, it was very tasty. My friends had the pub burgers and they were very happy with it. Great service, great beer selection, and tasty cocktails. Were are definitely coming here again when we are in the area!

We went to Lucky Penny for lunch on a girls weekend. We had the most delicious beet salad with goat cheese I think it was dusted with coffee. The crab cakes were amazing! And Rose our waitress was so charming attentive and helpful...we thought she was the owner. Thanks Rose!

The best bar in Murphys. Great beer on tap. Amazing craft cocktails. Very nice atmosphere. Go see Rose the bartender and her make you one of her signature mojitos with fresh herbs. Amazing. Great food too.
