We stopped here because the state park was closed. The manager was very friendly and even gave our daughter a bar of locally made soap from the general store. The creek is very beautiful and its a great place to go fishing, boating, or birdwatching. The reason for 3 stars is that the restrooms and showers are not so great. Also the lights are very bright at night. So maybe this would be fine for someone traveling in an RV, but not so great for tent campers like us.
What a wonderful stay we had at Shady Acres. Both Lisa and Chris were incredibly accommodating and kind! They even helped to suggest the best routes for our trip there and places to visit in the area! Super dog-friendly! Our needs and expectations were met and exceeded! And what could be better that creekside camping and hosts that make you feel at home? And the drive around Clear Lake was so beautiful. All campgrounds and RV parks should operate like this one!!
My family has been going there for more than 20 years. My parents went before they had any of us and there is five of us. I am now 19 years old and I have gone 2 times a year for the past 19 years with my entire family. It is the best place ever! there is so many things you can do and it is a very relaxing place to go if your trying to get away!
We stopped in here to rent a kayak to paddle around for the day. The prices are great and the manager, Lisa, is so friendly and inviting. If we had traveled to the area in an RV we would have stayed here, you just cant beat the level of customer service that youll find at Shady Acres.
This is a wonderful place to camp. I wish we could have spent more than one night here! Lisa is very friendly and welcoming! Everything was clean and tidy. Situated right on a large creek with campsites right on the water and docks to walk out on. I hope we can go back again soon!
This is a great down to earth campground, family owned for decades. On the water, canoes, fishing right off the dock, small general store, pool, showers. Owner is in process of updating park and hosting vintage trailer rallies. Lisa, the owner is always present to meet your needs.
Shady Acres is an older RV Park that is re-inventing itself. At the present time they can comfortably accomodate rigs up 35 feet. Plans for expansion are coming together. Located right on the creek, opportunities for fishing and boating abound. This is a gem in the making
The hospitality is immediately known, and it is a quiet private place perfect for any family! Will definitely be back more often! Thank you Lisa for welcoming us to your extended family!

Very cool, quaint campsite on the creek close to the top of Clear Lake. Clean, small scale and good for fishing or canoeing. A true oasis!
Beautiful Riverfront Camping - Come check it out for yourself and youll find, youll want to keep coming back.
Lisa was an amazing host! The facilities are a work in progress but she is working hard to fix it!
Too bad there is NO SHADE to this campground even though its name is "Shady Camping."
This place has some great potential, the owner Lisa is fixing the place up.
Clean and pleasant. Wonderful place for camping with children.
Great friendly campground. Nice people.
Great friendly camping
