So my good friend calls me up last night and says "dude, my birthday is just about here, take me out! I wanna go to a strip bar!" I was like alright, me and another buddy take her down here, because there arent many in the SGV that look halfway decent, except in the Industry/La Puente area. Deja Vu is a well known name, so we figured lets give this one a shot. My friend, being a girl, just wanted to check out the music, the dance moves and what not. Bringing another buddy along whos a guy, I figured we could check out some nice TNA as well. So what I cant complain about is, it is a lot more reasonable than I remember from my strip club frequenting days. They didnt charge my lady friend because her bday is a few days away and me and my other buddy paid $10 each to get in. The private dances, however are a bit confusing. You can pay $10 for a standard dance, or $20 for 2 dances to get a third one free. Then, there is the "reserve a half hour with a dancer for (I dont remember if it was $100 or $150)." We knew better than to go for the more expensive route, as it sounded like a ripoff and honestly, why pay that much just for a tease dance? You can find escorts in that area to do actual sexual favors for you for about that much or maybe even less. In any case, My gal buddy kept doing the $10 dances and I asked her how they were, she said "oh, we just ended up talking." LOL, chicks! Me and my other buddy might have gotten the cheaper dances, just to see what it was about but the problem was, girl after girl hit the stage and we were disappointed in every single one of them. Nearly all of them had very noticeable cellulite on their asses and up and down their legs. A lot of them had very unattractive tattoos. What they pass for dancing onstage now is twerk, twerk, twerk, crawl, crawl, crawl, up pole, down pole, strip and shake a bit. The music that they play is horrible. Rap song after rap song after rap song played where the lyrics were laughably bad, it sounded like they put it together in a day and the vocals were severely punched in. I understand that the girls have to be able to dance but there is much better variety of music out there that will go over better and not make the crowd feel like a bunch of zombies, starting at a bunch of sub-par dancers. Then the DJ would every now and then try to get the crowd amped up but he is really difficult to understand. He sounds more like an auctioneer, talking 50 miles per minute and he holds the mic so close to his mouth, it almost seems like hes giving it head. Im sure (or sincerely hope) that there are better strip clubs out there. Maybe though, this is the state of what strip clubs in general have become. If thats the case, then Im glad to have lived to see the golden era of strip clubs when the dancers took better care of their bodies, there is more variety of women (almost all the dancers were black and not pretty black but ghetto black, or carried themselves like they wish they were) and they knew the value of playing quality music, not just for the dancers but for the patrons as well. Also, its a really bad thing when the hottest chicks you have in the club are your drink servers. One things for sure, I will never step foot in there again. Even my friend texted me this morning and said "That was the worst idea ever! I am over strip bars, so nasty in there. Thanks but never again!" So, not only was her bday a bust, she got turned off to the idea of going to not just that strip bar but any strip bar ever again. Good job, Deja Vu!

So my wife asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday, my response was "lets go to a strip club". We decided on Deja Vu... I know strip clubs can be expensive, bit the door charge was only $20 total (1/2 price for couples!) Not bad. So we go in, and see a chick naked on the pole, and a lot of seats are full, what a good start. We grab some seats and just then the Dj (who I could hardly understand) cattle calls all the girls up on stage. To my surprise, EVERY girl there was good looking, not a fat chick or butter face among them (remember, this is a Tuesday night, around 10pm). We play it casual for a while tossing some $1s on stage. A cute with a Texas accent (we found that out later) comes on stage and sees my wife and I, she smiles at my lady and gives her that come hither gesture. Exciting! So my wife goes and sits at the stage and gets quite a show! She asked us for a lap dance afterwards, but the night was still early, perhaps later we said. Some more hot chicks take the stage, some more dollar bills are tossed, and were having a great time! A hottie named Betty, I believe, takes the stage and a couple of the other strippers go wild and pull up chairs to the stage. She also eyes my wife and tells her she wants to pull on her pigtails. I tell her she should take a seat stageside with the strippers. She gets another good show! Not long after Betty comes and asks us if wed like a lapdance, and we were ready for it! Back we go, and I must say, I dont think Ive ever been more turned on then watching this sexy stripper feel up my wife! The girls seemed to really enjoy it as well. We left after that, satisfied with our trip, and knowing nothing else was going to top that. Unless, of course, if Betty gets hold of us and comes by our place sometime to show my wife some pole tricks!

I went on a Wednesday and their was 3 dances for the price of 2, and I had Chardonnay dance for me, and it was nice, but then I got another dance, and from I believe she said anistashia, I am not sure as she was very quite when she said it, and she decided that the $20 was good for 1 dance, and when I asked her about it she said, "thats just the cost of a dance" and we were in the room that said $10 dances, so I am kinda miffed about that, cause I didnt have that much to party with and I felt cheated. Everything else was pretty fun, the servers looked amazing, one of them seemed cuter than a lot of the dancers, and it seemed welcoming.

It use to be a cool place to go to now its like these women are on the rag. I got cussed out by one the dancers just because I asked her a question. Instead of enjoying the show all I can hear is these women talk negatively about the customers. Dont waste your money and time here.
