I rode my bike out on the trail and realized this park was out there; however it is not as easy return and then access it when travelling by foot or by car with your dogs. I am not pleased to find out that when you drive out to this location, the city of Campbell has placed it in area where it is difficult to find and access, asside from finding free available parking. Indeed, the city actually has the audacity to charge you extra just to park, whereas there are few alternatives nearby. This may be a city park on the public county trail, but most similar parks dont make it difficult for you to find free and open access. Whats up with that?? After talking with other locals, I find that they agree with me. Whats the point of having a dog park that is hidden deep within the trail from where many people would walk and access it by foot, or otherwise have to drive to park and then pay extra. Most of us take our dog out every day, but cannot justify paying an extra 5 dollars every time we want to take them out for some fun. Its just not reasonable and seems advantageous on the part of city bureaucrats and planners. By the way, how much does it cost to have the attendant there to collect funds, versus actual revenue from a few cars? And what happens when the attendant is absent, the lot is empty and someone feels free to wander beyond the gate? Thats when the city can fine you tripple the original amount, supposedly. That does not make sense, does it? So, we have to pay extra for a public park for which we already pay taxes, plus pay extra salary for an attendant that is sometimes not there and does not necessarily justify his/ her own expense, and then have a lot sit empty and unused during many hours, when it could be open and used.

Awesome, awesome, awesome all around. Dont pay for parking - the $6 fee is ridiculous for a day pass agreed, but find a spot around the official parking lot and you just got yourself a discount! I appreciate this park especially when I go to the Apple store in Los Gatos and despite an appointment get the you got to wait for a bit response. Normally I would not be happy with that, but the kewl folks at Apple are super friendly. It works for them that Im not cribbing about the wait-time and they have assured me twice that my spot is not lost in case I cannot make it back on said time. Perfect time to sneak out, hit Winchester Blvd and drive to the park with the happiest pup in the world. Dogs and owners are nice and well-mannered which is always a bonus for dog parks. And astro turf is not something Id have on my lawn but hey its better than dogs chewing on grass with Monsanto poisons on it. Come out and play here with your pooch!

Loooooved this dog park. Came here today for a "doggie playdate" with the organization we adopted our dogs from, and we had an absolute blast. The park is segmented so that large dogs can play separate from the small dogs which is always a nice thing to have (especially when you are the ones with the itty bitty dogs). They have fake grass, but I didnt really see it as a bad thing. I loved that there were SO many dogs at the park. It was just a very social experience, everyone was friendly, and all of the dogs that I met were well behaved and well socialized. All in all, I think this park is fantastic. I will definitely be back. :)

Love This place! Hidden a bit. Winchester North? after Camden then between the railroad tracks and the HW 17. Great for walking dogs and people. The dog park is so new! It has nice benches and super new astro turf so dorg can run around when its muddy outside. Small and Big dog areas with water and bark etc.....Good Stuff! If you are a fish nut you can practice fly fishing here also. Practice ponds right next to dog area.

Pretty solid dog park with lots of parking. There are small and large sections and unlike other parks in the area they put a height requirement for small dogs which is really nice. Sadly there is no natural grass (all astroturf); however there are trees and some dirt that the pups can run around on as well as drinking fountains for them. The day we were there they actually had bags in the doggy bag holders which was awesome.

Great place for walking/running near San Jose downtown/Campbell area (5-10 minutes drive). It has a flat trail that goes all the way through Netflix campus to Vasona lake park (and I guess further to Lexington reservoir, I havent tried that bit though). Parking is $5 inside the park but theres some free street parking outside the park.

Very good park for urban setting, lots of places for kids: two big play grounds, lots of places for picnic, wildlife (most geese and squirrels), train, boats for rent (very cheep) during summer. I like to run there and walk my dog. Biking is OK, but you should be careful - lots of pedestrians. I love this park.

I cant figure this park out. Its on a fantastic trail in a very nice area. Parking is paid. Still, they cant seem to find the money to keep the place well maintained. Its nice for a pit stop while riding the creek trail with the family, but not a destination in and of itself.

A nice place, not muddy or dirty like the other dog parks Ive been to, although it was a little hard to find. It has a separate small and big dog area, fake grass (no mud), nice people, and nice dogs. Definitely going back here!

I love this park. Its one of my favorites. I use the trail for training for a half marathon. The lake is beautiful and theres lots to do including paddle boats, a train ride, playground... I cant say enough about it.

If you want to walk/run by water, this park has a trail along Los Gatos creek going all the way up to Vassona Lake and beyond or in the opposite direction towards Campbell. Though its close to hyw17.
