I have been going to DnD for about 3 years now faithfully, I learned to country dance there at dance lesons on Wednesday and Saturday nights. I have made a lot of friends there, everyone is really friendly and nice. I must say one thing though, and nothing agsinst the Mesa staff cause you guys Rock and I love you Kristine and Brian. But the the music has gotten way too loud and when people have started to wear ear plugs to protect their hearing or will no longer come there, you might want to go back to where you are keeping the deciples down, I have heard a lot of people talk about their dislike of the incredibly loud music now, and how its really not even a real country bar, that you leave there with your ears feeling as if you were were walking out of a Rock concert and that you should rename it Hip Hop Heaven, that saddens me. You have a great club but it is named Denim and Diamonds for a reason, its a County bar, not a Hip hop, or a Rock and Roll concert. Saturday night I was there and when you guys turned it up, it was not even a gradual increase, it went up all at once, and it was an incredible increase and you may not have noticed, but I did, almost everyone in there grab their ears. I for one vote we turn it back down, before everyone that goes there needs hearing aids.

Last night was the third time I have been there. There is usually a mixed crowd. Although a larger percentage appears to be young 20 somethings. There are two bar areas. One in the front right as you walk in. The other is towards the back, near the bathrooms. There are bathrooms on the left and right sides of the building. There are also two boxing game machines to test your testosterone (punching power). My boyfriends son and his friends are mma fighters. So, they had fun with it. Guys! Music is mostly country with some pop and rap mixed in. I really dont get the line dancing to rap and hip hop though. Kind of funny to me. Im not a follower. So, I tend to just avoid the line dancing part, which appears to be mostly a bunch of people trying to watch and keep up with a few who actually know the steps. Entertaining to crowd watch. Sometimes you see the drunks falling over or trying to get a number. Hilarious.

I was born and raised a country girl and I love to dance, drink beer and hang out with my friends. D&D only lets 2 of these things happen the dance floor is awesome the drink specials are amazing but I have to rate it a 3 for the fact the only spot you can hang out and talk to friends is in the dingy little smoking area with no seating. I have been to many bars and dance clubs and I find the music is NEVER that loud. We had 13 people there last Friday and we all decided to leave and go drink in my garage so we could at least talk to each other and not yell. I would suggest turn the music down a couple notches or create some sort of outside area where people can still drink, smoke hear the music and be able to hang out comfortably. :)

We drove over an hour to dance at this faux country night club because Toby Keiths couldnt pay its rent. Besides the fact they played hip hop for 5 songs in a row as soon as we entered the country club... I cant decide what is worse that there are girls wearing sandals, an overly crowded marginally sized dance floor, or the horrible music the DJ was playing. The staff was unfriendly, the door chick as soon as we entered was more worried about texting on her phone than taking my mans cover charge. Apparently, women dont have a dress code but men do, which is weird with the fake country crowd that they are drawing in. Instead of Denim & Diamonds it should be called Dubs & DBags.

This place just ripped me off tonight. It was 1 dollar beers, 50 cent drinks and 6 dollar shots. I had 7 beers (Coors Light), 5 Vodka Green Tea shots, 1 Vodka shot, and 1 Cranberry and Vodka drink. With simple math this is 43.5, not 65 dollars that they charged me. Tried to debate the bill the bill, they would not listen to me and would not provide a itemized receipt and kicked me out of the bar for challenging them on the bill. I talked to a older gentleman and older lady. If I am a manger or owner I would advice chatting with me before I debate this bill with my credit card company. 43.5 plus tax is better than nothing....

Dont go there if you want to 2 step to danceable C/W music because they play only about 10% of that kind of music. After 10 PM it is hip/hop and line dancing music, and very, very loud. They allow drinks on the dance floor so spills pose a danger of falling. Cheap drink prices, so DWIs are possible, so bring a designated driver. A very good meat market with many ladies dressing like they are going to a picnic, i.e. shorts and a sun top. Most guys dont dress to impress either. They should change their name to Hip/Hop Haven because they are definitely not a country music kind of place. So sad.

Denim & Diamonds is NOT a true country bar. A real country bar would not play HIP HOP! We like to country dance but it is really bad when all you guys play is the new country that sucks to dance to and hip hop. You can predict what songs are coming on next! What about older country that has good rhythm and you can actually dance to. You guys are drawing the wrong crowd, you cant mix country and hip hop. And that was apparent with Saturday nights fight between the gang banger and the black guy! WE WONT BE GOING TO YOUR BAR ANY MORE! Arizona needs a REAL country bar, which you are not!

Was there @ 5-6 Saturdays. Back in time to 1989 " My Maria " is anthem here. All tunes are looped each visit. Crowd is local apparently. Like a family reunion every weekend ? Same girls wearing the same clothes. The dudes are quite average and kinda stale. I will say the petite brunette bar girl never fails to define HOT. Venue is an old strip mall store decked out in 1984 "Gillys" trim without the riding bull. Warning - Line dancing to repeated "rap" tunes. So... If must visit do so for 6 mths and someone may talk to you.

I was a regular patron of this club until November 30, 2013 when the club manager, Jared Straumann, freaked me out by stalking me all around the club for 2 hours until I felt so threatened that I left. Please keep in mind that I was minding my own business (as usual) and not causing any trouble or commotion. This guy must have been having a bad day and decided to harass the first single girl he saw (me). Single ladies BEWARE. If the club manager is running off single women you are not safe in this club.
