Review Mother Bunch I had the Western Burger. It was absolutely the best burger I have ever had. I have never savored a burger as much as this one. Every flavor was well played nit overdone and the burger cooked to perfection as ordered. I tasted 9 beers: 5MB Saison- Very Intense, like the flavors of cinnamon and peppercorns but is a little heavy for my personal taste. Orange Blossom- My Favorite by far. A sweet wheat. The oranges and vanilla come together beautifully like an orange creamsicle. Definitely something that goes with dessert. Big Blue Van- Another sweet Wheat pulling off a blueberry pie sort of taste. This beer takes a spot in my favorites. Very smooth as well. McBride Red- my Favorite made by the brewery. Very smooth red with good flavors. You can taste the hops but they are not overly intense. Magic in the Ivy- A very hoppy Ale. Great, intense flavors. Not my favorite style of beer but for all the PA and IPA drinkers, you will like this. Scottsdale Blonde- A smooth blonde with good flavor and a zest of citrus. I like this one as an afternoon beer. Refreshing. White Chocolate- Definitely a dessert beer, I liked the smooth chocolate flavor with the hint of wheat. Gold Road- A light but good flavor. Light and crisp toward the end. This is a good hang out beer. Environment: Loved the rustic exposed brick. The walls had very interesting art and they feature a new local artist every month. There are tables, a bar, bench seating and comfort leather seating as well as a food bar overlooking the kitchen. Havent seen a brewery yet with this kind of decor and variations of seating options. Service: 5 stars. Server was very knowledgable and had lots of recommendations from beer to food. She was friendly and kept checking on us. Julie the co-owner was kind enough to show us around the brewery. I enjoyed the tour a lot. Overall: Best experience from any restaurant and brewery I have personally ever had. Looking forward to the new beers coming in spring and summer.

I really enjoyed my visit. The food was fantastic, the drink list impressive, and the service was both friendly and knowledgable. Both my wife and I ordered the Smoked Turkey brunch entree. Poached eggs, and turkey over biscuits with a hollandaise sauce. Really, really good. The beer list is around 20+ offerings, mostly from local sources, and some they brew themselves. We were lucky enough to be served by the assistant brewmaster. She was very knowledgeable on all of their offerings and was very enthusiastic to have us try some of the beers that she thought we would like. The Sonoran White Chocolate was particularly good, and I would definitely recommend it. My wife who doesnt normally like beer found a few that she liked as well by way of recommendations of the Assistant Brewmaster. Its always nice to talk to someone that is passionate about what they do, and that was certainly the case here. Oh did I also mention that their Saturday/Sunday brunch is $10 or $12 dollars depending on what you order and that it comes with a 10oz beer? That is a tremendous value, and a delicious one to boot. If you like good service, good food, and good beer this is the place to visit.

If youre looking to test a flight of beers, or just want a creatively, infused liquore experience, stop in this delightful, 7th street pub-brewery. They craft the brews and the infusions. Check the blackboard for the interesting and creative eat specials, as well as great beer descriptions with fun names. Church pew seating makes it quite comfy for your big group to stay for happy hour or just good visiting. Large bartop space between you and the keepers allow for comfy dining at the bar. Staff is friendly and free-spirited. The corned beef sandwich contained thick, beer-infused meat, mamas style red cabbage, marble rye and crispy fries. For 50 cents extra, a side of house made Ranch for "fry bathing" is worth it. It wont break your wallet to get two ranch dressing extras and your eat mates will thank you. My eating buddy had the mussels and was glistening with hot, spicy, beads of sweat. There was plenty of bread to soak up the torturous but good sauce and the cloth napkin came in handy to wipe up the forehead. To be fair, it was not mussel season so we will come back in the fall to test them again. Go like an explorer on an adventure. You will surely find something to like.

Looking to sample some of the DT PHX beer scene. I cant believe how much the Valley of Sun has changed since my last visit to my old adopted hometown a few years back. A local recommended this place, so I thought Id see what the fuss was about. First thing is, the space here is awesome! I came on an off time (after the lunch rush on a weekday) so I practically had it to myself. They have a lot of beer options as well as some interesting food options. Im a sucker for reubens, so I had their duck pastrami offering. It was decent and the duck was actually done really well, I just wish there had been more of it. It just did not blow me away and was served a little dry (though I like my reubens to be dripping w/dressing). I also was not blown away by the beers I had in my sampler. With 1200 beers documented on my UnTappd tally, Im no stranger to a good pint. Nothing here was bad, per se, there just wasnt anything mindblowing, unique, or overly memorable. It was a nice stop and Im glad I did, but I dont know that for the price point Id go out of my way to come back if and when Im ever coming through PHX again.

Google says theyre open until midnight, walk in at 9:30, bar is full so with no direction we grab a table, wait about 15 min without being greeted, finally go up to the bar and ask if theyre still serving, bartender replies " kitchen closes in 10 min, bar is open until 11" I respond "well ... weve been sitting there for 15 min" server with a cocky attitude then chimes in that he didnt see us otherwise he would have told us the dining room Is closed! we then left, they clearly didnt want our business, even though Im super keen on supporting local restaurants given that I work for one... So, in case youre wondering, the dining room apparently closes 30 min before the kitchen and the bar is open until 11 on weekends, not midnight! The three stars are due to the fact that Im not a jerk, but really, I had no service so its difficult to rate them accurately, I personally would never discourage a guest from enjoying my establishment, more money for me, right?

Im so disappointed in Mother Bunch after today. I have been here a number of times and been really happy. They have good food and a nice atmosphere. Today I ordered a delivery order for lunch using a third party service. The service listed Mother Bunch as a restaurant they delivered for. Apparently I was confused about the service because I was charged more than expected. I called Mother Bunch to inquire and the manager (Marlene) was pretty rude to me over the phone. Rather than explain to me in a polite tone, she was accusatory and short with me. I even called her back to let her know I was put off by our conversation and she gave me "Im sorry you feel that way, but..." which is a nice way of saying Im the problem. Clearly no customer service training. Im disappointed because I loved coming to this restaurant, but now I will never be back. So sad, and it didnt need to happen. Thanks Marlene.
