I went to Libation a couple months ago. The bartenders were all playing games with each other and acted like they were the coolest ppl to ever set foot in downtown. I had a margarita, and then about 45 minutes later I ordered another, and with that I had something red floating in my drink. I asked the another bartender (a girl, and she wasnt the one who made my drink) what it was and if I could have another re-made and she said not to worry, that it was just a raspberry or something from a previous drink made. Less than an hour later, I was in a cab going home because I couldnt walk straight or remember anything, I could barely keep my eyes open and didnt make it to Greenhouse, where I was supposed to go later on. All in all, a Libation bartender drugged me after only having one margarita, and I promise you, I can POUND the margaritas. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. And also, terrible music selection. NEVER GO THERE. Theres probably a million other places you could go to, this is the worst of the WORST.

The worst customer service in NYC. With 8 of us traveling from out of state to celebrate someones birthday, we were shamefully placed at a table for 6 people. In every instance, I had to ask for service. After 30 minutes, I had to ask if we could see a server. After asking to move 4 times [while waiting 45 min] to accommodate the original 15 person reservation we made, I had to ask someone to refill our mimosa glasses. After another 20 minutes, I had to ask a bus boy to take our order. After another hour past by, I had to request the status of our orders. Finally, two hours after arriving, we received our food. The manager, who was artificially concerned about our situation, tried to remedy our frustration with shots. Unfortunately, we are not 21, so this tactic proved ineffective and inaccurate. Either way, the forgettable food, inefficient processes and elementary management prevented this venue from achieving long-term/loyal high-earning customers

I thought Id already reviewed this one, but see I did not. I ended up over here with some friends around Halloween. I was a little ehhhh about it going in because en route, Id been warned there was a velvet rope and it was sort of deemed automatically hip since it is apparently the only place in the LES with a rope (oooooh - let me tell you - soooo impressed...) Anyhow, a friend knew the bouncer, so we didnt have to go through the line ordeal. But once we got inside, it was ok enough, but totally overrated. The best part was all of the people dressed as super heroes and I realize that yes yes, that is not the norm, so I cant go above 2 stars here. Although I do have to say, it was nice to be somewhere that people were dancing where there wasnt a cover charge. These two stars are in honor of the probably two songs I danced too before I bowed out of this place.

I attended an event here and was not thrilled with the place. The DJ was an average spinner you couldnt hear the beats mixing in. The music wasnt up to date. You walk in and the check in for coats is there holding up your entrance. Next there are tables and a bar. The bar is crowded with people eating and its hard to maneuver a place to order. The drink specials are $5 for mixed but they charged my credit card $6 for wine. I also didnt like the fact that they make you charge $20 to use the credit card. I wasnt planning on 3 drinks. It was dark and they have 1 bathroom which makes a line when its crowded. I was there during Jan 2014 and the place was COLD. Where was the heat?

Went for a brunch. Food was mediocre, had to keep asking them to refill the bottomless carafes. Oh & the DJ is terrible! We asked for good music to be played and he stated he doesnt play "RACHET OR TRAP" music during day brunch. I dont recall we asked for that type but the Caucasian DJ decided to go there and offered us a spot to go down the block where that type of music was played. What an ignorant man. NYC equals diversity so maybe a DJ who can broaden their horizons would be preferable. Miley Cyrus from Disney days doesnt cut it at a $50 plus tax and tip brunch. Terrible place.

We came here after flag football games during our season with the other teams in our league for happy hour specials, flip cup and beer pong tournaments and just chilling. The bar is actually quite large, meaning sixty or seventy people could fit around the bar no problem, so theres definitely a lot of space. On the weekends however, or so Ive heard, it gets quite packed. ProTip: Join a flag football team and go on Wednesdays for great specials and good times.

This cool bar has been around for some time now and I can say that after going there tonight, it will be around for more time! The space is good for afterwork happy hours and small events. You have to go downstairs and come up in the back to get to the good space but it is worth a little walk. For some odd reason it is cold down there when you do that little walk...colder than outside! Funny right?

The multi-level lounge could be hit or miss, depending on whats going down that night. This is the place for those blurry nights with enthusiastic dance parties. Good dancing music. Otherwise, I dont frequent this place when Im on the LES. I may be back here for another birthday or holiday, but not really to hang.

the bartender charged me more than i drank and when i told her she didnt care and when i didnt tip her she decided to go ahead and tip herself on my credit card!!! DO NOT open up a tab here. Also the website said 5 dollar cover and free for ladies and they charged us 15 each... NEVER going here again!

Libation is one of my favorite places to hang out, and have a good time. The waitresses and bartenders are extremley friendly. The atmosphere here is international, and the security guards are not rude. If you dont mind spending money and want a good time at a sports bar, check this place outey

I have been to Libation many times but only for brunch. I have not gone to Libation for dinner or after hours. For brunch they have a nice menu and good food; also unlimited Mimosas. The atmosphere is great on fall Sundays as they have just about every NFL game playing in the restaurant.

The bouncers at this place are awful, they huddle you in behind a rope to make the empty inside seem more appealing. Drinks are over priced even for manhattan, not mention you have to pay a cover to get in. Their sound system is garbage and the bathrooms are small and always dirty.

This is the second University of Wisconsin bar. They show games Saturday and feature specials including beer buckets, cheese curds, and tater tots. Other weekends and downstairs they feature AYCD brunch. At $29 for entree + bottomless mimosas and bloody marys, its a good deal.

I watched the Superbowl here once and while the wings were worthy of such a regal event the velvet rope crowd treatment felt a bit forced. Their are far better places to watch a game in the neighborhood and much friendlier clubs to dance at.
