In case you dont read through this review, a few things to note: 1. Upon arrival, and especially on the weekend, ask if the place is booked up for parties and if so until what time. Parties according to the manager were booked until 10pm. & of course when we finally got the call to bowl it was after 10pm (we got there at 6). 2. Ask how many people are in front of you upon arrival. Follow-up on the status at least every 30 minutes. Otherwise, youll be upset knowing they misplaced your name and somehow end up further down the wait list. 3. Make sure when they have you write your name and number on a piece of receipt paper, ask how they are tracking it. They obviously dont have a running list. 4. If you are told there are over 10 people in front of you especially on the weekend, make sure you decide right then and there if you are going to stay with the expectation of not bowling. Otherwise, find somewhere else to go. 5. If you are going to play laser tag, hurry up and check in for it. At 7 oclock we were told the next avail wasnt until 10. After 9, kids cant do it. 6. If you have smaller children, they cant do the rope course. They let one of the kids do it but an adult had to be with them. I didnt realize that we had to pay double ($20). Thats okay though. However, wasnt fair to the kids that one got to do something and the other didnt. 7. Do not go here on the weekend to bowl unless you have a party reservation. -------------- Visited this establishment on March 12, 2016. Arrived at 6pm with 3 adults and 2 small children (5 & 6 year old). Upon check in, was told 1-2 hour wait and 14 people in front of us. Husband followed up at 8 pm and it took 8 minutes for the guy at the counter to "find his information" and there was 16 people in front of us. Husband came back and told me and of course I questioned it and asked how did we go from 14 people in front of us at check in to 16 people in front of us 2 hours later. He went back and asked that guy and of course the guy tells him that theres 13 people in front of us. So, we went from 14 to 16 and now 13 in front of us. I go up to the counter and question why havent we moved up on the list in 2 hours because it didnt make sense. The girl then tells me that they "literally just sat 2 lanes." Im like okay, well shouldnt that make 12 people ahead of us? Somewhere along the line they messed up. The difference between 12-16 doesnt matter, at that point it was a matter of principal. I then spoke to a manager at the bar and he tells me that they arent supposed to quote wait time. Clearly its a practice to quote wait time for both the Times Square and Chelsea pier location. Its a business practice to get people to stay and not walk out. What gets me is that he then tells me that they are "booked for parties up until 10pm." Wth!! You guys couldnt say that in the beginning??? Keep in mind my 5 year old daughter is sitting right there crying because she wanted to do something and was upset that it was late and we had to go back to the hotel since we had to leave early. The manager also tells me, "just so you know, Saturdays are busy." I tell him how am I supposed to know that. We are from out of town and wanted to do something fun for the kids and they wanted to bowl (not do the rope course (too small) and not laser tag). It was our last night night in town. The only good thing was the bartender. She took care of me after sitting at a table in the bar area for an hour and also for the entire night and not one waiter came to take our order or check on us. (Terrible wait staff, great bartender). The pizza is good, the Madhattan was pretty good. But we couldve went to a restaurant for that experience.

Well, if youre into all around rude and lazy service at a very expensive price then this place is for you! Youll walk in on a Saturday night to a half empty venue and be told you still have to wait over an hour. Thats cool, the place has a fun arcade and nice bar in the back so theres something to do. You provide your phone number and repeat it to them 3 times so that they can text you when the lane is ready. You come back to the front after 2 hours of waiting and ask why youre still waiting and they go " oh well we texted you." You reply, "at which number" and they repeat a wrong one, tell you all the lanes have been given away (the place is literally still half empty)and "your party is next. " 20 min later you finally get a lane and ready to order drinks and food but shockingly no waiter comes to take your order all night. We had to walk back to the bar and order, and when the waiters came back with our (wrong) order, they didnt have the decency to even place it down nicely, instead they threw it down on our table resulting in spillage everywhere, turning around and leaving without an apology or decency to clean up. I can keep going about this place, but I think at this point you get my drift. This place is awful and rude and gives Chelsea Piers a bad name. If you want an entertaining bowling evening go to lucky stripes on 42nd st.
