We attended the "So You Think You Can Dance 2014" show on 11/13/14. There was a paper printout on the exterior glass door, saying that strobe lights would be in use. However, the wind had folded it in half, so we didnt read it until we were leaving. That was not well thought out by management. Our seats were about 5 rows back in the Dress Circle level. The strobe lights were varied in size and color and added to the excitement of the production numbers; however, there were two large white spotlights turned on at different times which were aimed directly into our eyes ... they were so intensely bright that they blinded us to what was happening on half of the stage. Have you ever had the sun shine so brightly into your car windshield that you had to put your hand up to block it so you could see the road? I was not the only one who had to put a hand up to block the intense white light in order to watch the dancing. Those spotlights were not lighting up the stage to further our enjoyment of the production numbers, they were lighting the audience up for some unknown reason. Chrysler Hall is an excellent venue, but, for SYTYCD 2014, we were not pleased to have missed portions of the fantastic production numbers, especially considering the price of the tickets.

The sound is horrible and the lights were blinding. I cannot believe that by now and with all the technology that no one has figured out how to get the acoustic adjusted for this style of theatre. This made may experiece so bad that after 10 minutes of listening to a great artists, Eddie Levert, I was ready to take the 2 hour drive home. Back to the lights, is there any consideration given to the angle of the light for those sitting in the balcony. I missed most all of the first musician appearance as I literally had to close my eyes because of the blinding lights. There isnt any excuse to say the musicians staff set them up because its your facility and if told the impact on attendees theres no reason the lights would have been setup this way. We actually moved to the rear of the dress section to empty seats after intermission. The couple beside us left after 10 minutes of their arrival. We will not be back again!

I traveled from Pittsburgh to see The Piano Guys play here. It was worth the drive! Comparing it to our venue for performing arts (Benedum Center), it was a lot roomier and a lot easier to get around. The acoustics and projector were also really good. The chairs were very uncomfortable and I was very underwhelmed by the aesthetics of the theatre. Overall, its a decent venue but could use work.

Shen Yun performance was great! Building is outdated, but seating, sound, and lighting were very good. I appreciated the security check before entering. Staff were excellent. A bit pricey. We sat 1st level under an overhang so we could not read all of the words being projected without crouching down.

Theatre is a bit dated but great for a just a few hours. Orchestra seating up close and overhang seating up above. Amazed by how close the stage is for cheap seating. If seeing any sort of live show, a small theatre like this is perfect.

Ive seen quite a few shows here and have always enjoyed them. I havent been seated everywhere, but so far I havent had a bad seat. The sound doesnt seem to change based on your location, which is what you want in this type of venue.

Wow took kid there to watch peppa pig and couldnt hear a thing. The actors spoke so fast and fake British accents, It was a total bust. Not to mention the overprices concessions.
