Went to Nashville with my girlfriend as tourist. She loves to line dance and we heard this was the place for it. So we went. We arrived at about 9pm. Cool atmosphere for sure but everything else was simple ehhh. First theres lots of seating BUT when we went we couldnt use anything but the handfull of tables by the bar. We werent eating so werent allowed in the main dining area which is by the stage. Both bars and seating areas to each side of the dance floor were closed to the public and so was the entire 2nd level because of "private events". There was hardly anyone in these private areas. There was an empty table in the private area on the outside that was empty. I simply stood by it and was rudely shooed away by the bartender. The ONE bar that was open to the public had your nice bartender and your rude bartender. The rude one was a little older (late 30s) with dark hair. She must have been having a bad night. Never smiled, had no patience, and was just simply rude. I like Busch beer and I wanted to know if the carried it. I nicely asked because I assumed the didnt "you wouldnt by chance carry Busch beer?" She looked at me like I was an alien. Gave me the look of disgust. You could simple say, no sorry we dont. The nice young blonde bartender and band is the only reason I give it 3 stars. Both were excellent! So the night continued the side private events ended but both side bars closed. So onlt one bar remained open. Finally the line dancing was not bad. All in all if youre a tourist this is one of those places that if you go great but if you dont, youll find happiness at other bars.

We had a great time, the band (Doug McCormick) was incredible!!! The food wasnt very good, especially considering how pricey it was. The only item we enjoyed was the fried pickles. The smoked salmon was bland, my son LOVES seafood and he only ate maybe 1/4 of it and wouldnt touch the side. The wedge salad had entirely too much apple cider vinegar on it, I couldnt even finish half of it because it was too acidic. It spoiled the other flavors. My husbands short rib sandwich was okay. Our server was very good and attentive. I will give her high marks, though I kinda feel bad that I cant remember her name. Where I am really disappointed and angry is that they double charged us for the cover charge and our meal and when Ive tried to call, all I get is a prerecorded message and no matter what selection I make (I tried every single one) I cant get a live person on the phone. We were there on 7/26/2016 and charges showed on our account on 7/26/2016 and again on 7/27/2016. Because of this egregious error, we incurred six (6) $20 fees on our account and I have spent the last two hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. I was going to highly recommend the Wildhorse Saloon to anyone I know who will be visiting Nashville, but now I will not. Instead I will recount the subpar food, the lack of getting a live person on the phone, and our difficulty in getting this issue resolved as well as my time lost in doing so. I ended up having to dispute the charges with my bank and in the mean time my account is short the double charges for up to six months!!!!!!!!!

The food was great, the entertainment was amazing, but every single drink I ordered, the bar said they didnt know how to make it. I would have to either change my order (which I did several times to other drinks), have the recipe I knew written down by the waitress and given to the bar staff, or suggest changes to the drink based on what they had available. I feel like a place with three bars on the first floor (and probably three on the second and third floors) should have staples such as Grand Mariner on hand. One of the drinks that I ended up with was mixed incorrectly (mixed together rather than layered) and had to be sent back and remade. One drink was ordered at the bar by me, and ordered at the table by a friend. She made a face, and I tried her drink. This very basic drink was made entirely differently by these two different bartenders. I dont understand how a drink with two ingredients can be screwed up like that. Overall, a very disappointing experience with this bar, which was a major factor in our group deciding to eat there. If you dont drink, or enjoy shots or neat whisky, this is a great place. The environment is fantastic, the entertainment is amazing, and the food is tasty, served quickly, and provided in filling portions. If you enjoy mixed drinks or anything requiring a bit of technical skill, consider dining elsewhere.

Id been once before and apparently its a one time visit kind of place - wouldnt go back. PROS: Atmosphere is lively with plenty of western saloon type decor to keep your interest (horses running on high ceiling); BBQ is pretty good and theres plenty to choose; Live country music at specific times; Line dancing class is open to anyone willing; No wait for a table for 2 early in the day. CONS: Unfriendly / unhelpful staff; Exceptionally long wait for food eventhough only 1/3 of the main floor tables had patrons; Price is high for actual food and drinks received; Server was never around so drinks went unfilled, napkins and so forth werent provided, the check was even difficult to get and even make a payment! I had to ask another server for the check and go up to the bar to specifically ask for the souvenir mug I purchased! I stopped in the gift shop to get a bag for the mug and had to wait about 5 minutes to receive one (they werent stocked). It seemed generally disorganized with the staff. My experience reflected a restaurant raking in money from tourists and not caring about basic etiquette. I would definitely choose another place with live music and bbq - it was just disappointing for the service received, money paid and good bbq can be found everywhere in Nashville. Unforgivable!

I was in Nashville from out of town this weekend and some of my group, along with myself, decided that since we were in Nashville we would love to get some barbeque while we were there. Initially we tried to go to a couple of places and found they were packed out the door. We stumbled upon Wildhorse completely by accident as none of us had heard of it before. We were seated quickly by a very nice hostess. The waitress was friendly and was able to joke around with us. My friends ordered the Sammys and thought they were wonderful. I ordered the platter. We all agreed that the amount of time it took for the food to be delivered was disproportionate to the lunch time crowd, I know thats a kitchen problem and not a wait problem though, but still something that should be addressed. The platter that I ordered was hands down the best barbeque Ive had (not saying much since Im from the mid-west). The ribs were so tender I could have eaten them with a spoon. The pulled pork was tender, and the brisket was wonderful. Overall I would have loved to see the place with a show, even though I think it would be crowded. I would definitely recommend to others, and would want to join them when they go.
