The last time I played here in 2015 I had a terrible time. The cart staff did not grab my bags, the pro shop treated me like a name on a piece of paper. Today, that was not the case. Patrick immediately greeted me upon arrival, he was eager to help and completely set up my cart. Saving me a good 15 minutes. When I walked inside Ron set me up with a super twilight rate. He answerd all me questions on how the course was playing. Ron informed me about the gold membership plan which I was very interested about. Im glad he brought it up and handed me an application. After the round. In was 8pm. Patrick once again handled all the loading and unloading clean and organizing my clubs while making friendly small talk. These guys Patrick and Ron made my round the best in Nashville. Because of them I will be applying for the good program.

(Played 8/5/2014) For the hype and price to play, I was disappointed with the course condition. I felt the pro shop or starter should have at least mentioned that greens had been recently sanded (August seems a little late in the season for that), or that they were playing a temporary green on one hole (not visible from fairway and didnt compute with cart GPS distance). Also didnt like that the starter put several groups off 10 in front of groups making the turn because they "didnt want to play the temporary green"...locals obviously have more priority. When this course gets back into condition, finishes the concrete patchwork to the cart paths, and follows tee time protocol, it will rate at least a 4-star. In the meantime, the Two Rivers municipal course is a much nicer layout and a lot cheaper!

Very overpriced and I found the course boring. The real problem was speed of play. At the first par three there were three foursomes backed up. The folks ahead of us telephoned the pro shop and the ranger came out. However, speed of play never picked up and it took 5 hours to play. We never saw a ranger again. Also you have to buy water, no towels or tees in the carts. For an upscale course, I was very disappointed.

Service here was great. Played it once and had so much fun we came back and played it again the next day. Lias service on the beverage cart was the BEST Ive ever experienced. She was sweet and even gave us a great recommendation for that nights dinner. Rob in the shops service was also top notch. I wont go back to Nashville and not play here :) Also, its located less than 5 minutes away from Bass Pro Shops.

Golfed here coming from out of state. Did not see they had a strict dress code. Called them and informed them of the situation after I booked my tee time. They were understanding and allowed me to golf. The course itself was recovering from winter, but it was well maintained and beautiful nonetheless. Rates were also very reasonable.

I live in Franklin, TN but play regularly at Gaylord Springs, and often take guests. The condition of the course is always first class, and the courtesy of the personnel is exceptional. I have played a number of courses in the area, and Gaylord Springs ranks as one of the best and most challenging.

Great course. Horrible staff! They are taking the whole Gaylord resort thing a little too far. To expensive and too many idiots working here to justify the price. Much better golf in the area without the resort rates. Hermitage comes to mind and they have two 18 hole courses as good as this one.

Very nice links style course. Winter rates were $55. Only bad thing was it was cart path only and its a large course with wide fairways..made for a long round. but we were the only ones out there so we could play at our own pace. I would imagine its just beautiful in the summer.

I came to hit some golf balls on a whim with my nephews. I hadnt packed for the occasion and didnt have a collared shirt with me for this trip. They wouldnt allow me to hit on the range without one. I understand the need for some decorum on the course, but the range?

Very interesting golf course. I really enjoyed it. Make sure you play from the right tees. For $75 I was pretty happy. Even though it is wide open if you arent used to links style golf it will punish you. The greens were in great shape.

Great course. Will play again. A little faster pace would be ideal to be honest. Once the greens are cut a little bit as well. Not complaining because I will play it again and again in future. Id give it a 4.5 if I could.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the course is well kept and plays well for seasonal golfers like myself, and the price is moderate. I give it an 8 out of 10 for public courses.

For the price your better off playing either Hermitage golf course with the option to play either the Generals Retreat or the Reserve. Both are better layouts than Gaylord.
