We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Terrace. They definitely know their wedding business! Micayla was our representative, and she walked us through everything very thoroughly and clearly. She didnt make us feel stupid when we had to ask questions multiple times (theres so much that goes into a wedding!). What impressed us was the way she was able to get creative to get things to fit into our budget. From switching around meals to mixing up the layout, we were able to hit our budget while still keeping high quality. The food was delicious - not what I was expecting for large batch, catered food. The venue is obviously gorgeous. The team at the Terrace also added lots of nice touches and covered things we didnt even think about (eg, saving the wedding party a plate of appetizers, small gifts as thank-yous, and clearly communicating hand-offs between workers). We highly recommend working with Micayla and the Terrace!

As Frank Lloyd Wrights final piece of architecture this was a cool place to stop. In parts of it the influence of other architects who finished the project after his death was apparent but it still has some classic Wright touches. We caught a tour at 1:00 which was a nice way to catch the finer features I would have missed since I dont know anything about architecture. There werent tons of things to see but if you are in Madison you owe it to your self to see what there is.

It has beautiful architecture, and its great once you get inside...but the whole "bike elevator" concept leaves much to be desired. Its slow and small. There was a sign routing us to the 4th floor to get out because "the 5th floor exit is currently limited" and there was nothing going on up there. We had carried our bikes up many floors of stairs. So, please make the elevator larger and faster, and make sure something is actually closed befor you put up signs about it.

Thought that it would be the time of my life at this vacation. Spent over 2 million dollars in traveling and finally made it to the Monona Terrace. I went smimming in the pool on the roof and nearly drowned. The lifegaurd didn;t even care and nearly shoved me off of the roof. I was in terrible pain so I went to the hospital to find out that the lifegaurd had robbed me of ID and that I had no $ either. This place ruined my life. It might ruin yours too!

Monona Terrace is a quirky Frank Lloyd Wright designed building. As such some things like the placement of the bathrooms can be awkward. But the view over the lake is amazing and the conference rooms are functional and flexible for conventions of small and medium size. Catering is always great, definitely in tune with allergy needs and personal choices. Parking garage and traffic are the only real drawbacks here, but neither of them are show stoppers.

I love this place!!!! BUT today i went in to drink on the public water fountain after a jog in the monona terrice and the maintenance lady yelled that it was "rude to drink from it" at me because she just cleaned it and said i shouldnt have drank from it because it is also "mean". But i did apologize for drinking from a WATER FOUNTAIN. If it is not supposed to be used after maintenance, please put a sign up then. Thanks!!!

Very nice convention center with Beautiful views that overlooks Lake Monona. I had attended the Winter indoor Farmers market and a holiday art and craft fair. They do offer on-site parking, which can get a little expensive, I had parked there for 3 hours and it cost $10. I did find some off site parking for cheaper and had a short walk to the convention center, which worked our great.

You have to time the weather and your mood right - bad weather (or even really hot and muggy weather) could ruin the experience, and you order and pick up your own food so dont expect table service. But the food was quite good, the drinks were fairly priced, and the views are fantastic. If you are looking for relaxed open-air dining on the lake, its hard to beat.

Wasnt sure what to expect when I my daughter mentioned this "Monona Terrace" thing, ended up being a very cool little visit. Nice facility, nice view, pleasant walk on the lake. If it wasnt a holiday would have liked to ate at the cafe. Seemed like a nice relaxing way to end our weekend in Madison.

An amazing venue by the water and you would be amazed at how many things are going on there from yoga and dances on the rooftop to conventions, weddings, conferences and special events for the public inside and out. Check back often to see what is going on or just stop in to check it out.

Absolutely beautiful architecture on this building. I spent a series of 5 days here for a conference and it was lovely. The staff did a good job keeping up with our large group. My only complaint, and its not that big of a deal, is the bathrooms are all far away from the main area.

Gorgeous views & friendly & knowledgeable staff. If it was raining during the wedding I was in, however, we wouldve had to have the ceremony inside, with some of the worlds ugliest carpets (and I think those are the replacement ones after they replaced an even uglier pattern!)

Helpful staff made our conference participants feel welcome and valued. The quality of the food was beyond expectation...gourmet meals! Space was perfect and the support staff (for sound and electronics)was quick to fix any problems we had with power point computers or mics.

I performed here for a wedding and was able to experience the rooftop ceremony as well as a ballroom reception. The building is very impressive and the catering was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for any event.

Really nice venue with several rooms overlooking the lake. The catering staff is a bit hit and miss about catering to special diets--most of the time they were good about having lots of options, but sometimes there was nothing.

A very anti-bike organization. They go out of their way to reduce bike access in downtown Madison. Also, why do we have such a large lakefront parking garage? Finally, it feels like a hotel from the 90s inside. Puuuuuke.

When I was in high school the prom was held here and it did not dissapoint. Now I go here just to chill out or see a rooftop concert. Beautiful overlook of the lake. By far the best area of this place is the rooftop!

Visited the Monona Terrace rooftop yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful native Wisconsin prairie flowers you had growing there! What a nice place to take friends and family. Just gorgeous!

Really nice place! Came down here for the Mayors Neighborhood Expo with other Green Bay representatives. Learned a lot from that event. The place was stunning, the lunch was great, and I loved the views.

Its a beautiful place to have an event. The staff are great, both helpful and friendly. Just dont expect a good meal. The food is a little better than a good T.V. dinner but at a much higher price.

Lovely view of the lake, food was yummy check it out! Would have rated higher but only one register open, with a longer line. Maybe that is usual, just thought the 2nd would have helped a bunch.
