THIS IS MY FIRST EVER REVIEW...OF ANY PLACE...My girls and I went on a friday night. This was my first time there. The music was trap, and honestly the DJs were amazing. So no complaints there. I have been to many edm shows and clubs in seattle. This is unlike any of those other clubs, truly in its own class. It reminded me that night of a mini show, which was awesome and the drinks were not bad! Now on to the part that makes this experience ok. The cover for girls after 11 pm - if not on the guest list is supposedly $30.. Thats CRAZY! Again "supposedly" we got half off, and only paid 15$ a person. Theres no way in hell Id pay $30 for cover EVER, at least for this place. The moment you walk in. Its dark and grungy. The decor is ok, it appears they were going for an edgy glam look but for some reason that clashed with the dirtiness of the establishment...and by dirty I mean DIRTY. I saw needles on the ground, like shooting up needles. Garbage, and it smelled of vomit, urine and sweat. Again, Ive been to MANY clubs.....and yes sweat is a common smell to sniff but this was insanely nasty. The crowd, was diverse. However stay away from the front of the stage unless you wanna get slammed into by crazyness. So many people doing drugs. Which in the right place is their business....I go to shows where obviously people are on drugs in a place so small like this, I find it odd. I had one poor guy so messed up, he clearly looked like he needed medical attention or something. Falling all over me and humping my leg. So our group of girls helped him out kept him on his feet and off that dirty floor. Watching over him. At the end of the night he was okay and he apologized. Then there was this hyped up group of men, who were body slamming into each other and everyone surrounding them. So if your looking for a chill night for dancing.....stay AWAY from the front stage! SERIOUSLY. No bouncers or security in sight crowed managing at all and if there were any, clearly they didnt care about any of the above or below. Someone could of seriously got hurt and no one would of known. At the end of the night. I was so ready to leave. I only bought one drink the entire night. I just didnt feel like drinking, because I actually didnt feel safe at all. I have been to so many types of clubs, low scale up scale. I really dont care as long as I can feel like I can have fun, and not be assaulted, sexually or physically. Not the case here at all. So at the end of the night we left and my girls and I were COVERED in filth, dirt, water and sweat for other people slamming into us. I am surprised we stood the whole night...my feet, legs were covered in dirt as so were my friends. I seriously went home and showered. Where in other clubs I could care less... So with the crazy crowds and dirtiness of the establishment. I would not return. I heard such amazing things, and even the reviews. I was excited. NOT what I expected at all. Its a shame really.... Oh well.

Be Advised: There’s some shady stuff going on at this club. Up until about a couple weeks ago I would have told you that this is one of the better clubs in town with decent bookings and a higher production value than most other places. Unfortunately my opinion has completely changed after being quadruple charged for drinks on a slow night. The management refused to credit my girlfriend and I back for the additional $33, forcing us to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I should also add that my girlfriend was a promoter for this club at the time which didn’t affect how willing they were to correct their mistake. Rather they blamed it on us/our credit card company for the additional charges and made it seem like they had more important things to do. After a little bit of research, it appears this is a recurring thing for this club. I only had to look back to April of this year on Yelp to find another disgruntled customer who had the exact same situation happen to her. Granted she was only double charged, and not quadruple charged, but the management was still just as unwilling to credit the customer or resolve it themselves. This person made it clear that she felt it was suspicious and not an honest mistake as they would have you believe. I’ve also heard murmurings of overcharging happening to other attendees and promoters on social media as well so it’s clear that there is a pattern. So if you must attend a show at this club, please only use cash as that is the only safe way to make sure the bar staff/GM doesn’t try and pull more money out of your account/card than they should. Whether or not they are doing this intentionally and hoping people don’t notice/remember or they simply don’t care to fix whatever is causing these problems, it simply isn’t safe to use a card here. You’ve been warned.

After volunteering as a Promoter with this Company for almost a year, I expected them to handle the situation that was unfortunately brought on to me with a little more professionalism and respect. Three weeks ago, I decided to attend a show at Foundation Nightclub with a couple friends because I knew it was going to be a slow night (it definitely was) and being a promoter for Foundation I wanted to show support. When I arrived I purchased 3 drinks- one for me and each person in my party. I closed my tab immediately because I prefer not to leave my tab open at Nightclubs. Two days later, I checked my credit card statement my transaction from that night was quadruple charged. I immediately corresponded with the General Manager and Management, and at first they seemed willing to help, but then they started to not answer my emails- so I was having to touch base every couple days to see if this was getting resolved. After almost 2 weeks it still hadnt been resolved, and Management had no interest in crediting back my account even though they sent me the receipts (customer copy and merchant copy with my exact transaction of $11). They would not admit that it was their error and kept blaming my bank- trying to tell me that I needed to take the extra steps to retrieve my money. After basically fighting tooth and nail to try and make sense of all this, I ended up resigning as a promoter. I cant endorse a company who treats their customers let alone their volunteers like how they treated me. So with that, if you attend a show at Foundation Nightclub I would proceed with caution and only pay with cash at the Bar if you buy drinks. I would hate to have anyone else have to deal with what I dealt with because it was so unnecessarily stressful and took too much time out of my days to still have it be unresolved.

This is easily, currently the BEST nightclub in Seattle right now. Let me break down why. First things first, lets start with the gentlemen who work security. The most polite and respectful bouncers Ive dealt with, and to be honest the main reason Im taking time to write this. They manage to balance an obvious presence with a laid-back demeanor; you wouldnt start some ruckus but you dont feel spied on. Several grades above most security staff Ive had to deal with in Seattle. The rest of the staff are friendly as well, the cashiers at the entrance have always been warm and polite and the young woman at coat check was also very sweet. In fact, the first time I went to Foundation I wasnt carrying cash for the coat check (3$) but she checked my coat anyway so I could get right in to the show! Now THAT is the type of customer service that brings you back. The Bar staff always have been attentive and personable, but not favorite-picky like some holier-than-thou bartenders Ive had the displeasure of dealing with around town. Cool, professional, but done and on to the next one, which is par for the club Id say. The bathroom attendants have also always been polite and courteous. The atmosphere of the club in general is pretty great. Ive been to a few shows there now and have had an amazing time, every time. On Wednesdays there is no cover before 10:30 and often some amazing talent; definitive place to just go let some steam out if youre having a tough week. The shows they have on the weekend though? World class. The crowd tends to be good people as well. If you want to have fun in Seattle, go to there.
