My son and i came up for the day for his 12th birthday and we are so glad we went with Beneath The Streets to take the underground tour! Jim was our guide and was absolutely spectacular; deeply knowledgeable, considerate to the entire group, and a spot-on balance of personable/professional. The boy is still talking about the tour as were on the train back home. He wants me to say its a great way to learn in the summer. Hes texting his friends about it, with a picture of Jims business card. Kid is thrilled, i had a great time, the tour was the highlight of our day in Seattle. Thanks Beneath The Streets folks!

We have now been to both underground tours. I feel like the other tour company may have had a few more areas to look at. However, the small groups and amazing tour guide made the experience with Beneath the Streets much better in my experience. I was also glad to hear they are expanding to a new space soon and hope they are able to expand the visual to match their amazing guides. Well worth the time and money. Thank you Richard!

This was a great experience. Have been in Seattle for a couple years now and this would be brought up all the time, some saying it is touristy or whatever, but I disagree. The people who will enjoy this the most are the ones who have been here for a while. Good touch of humor while being informative. Also had a good crew of people and questions being asked. Highly recommended for everyone, good for the whole family too.

They say the tour guide makes the tour (or did I just make that up?) and our guide was awesome. He cracked some great jokes and was very informative. Essentially, you tour some portions of underground streets/tunnels and learn about the humble beginnings of the Emerald City. The tickets were reasonably priced and well worth the time. Im a local and Id definitely recommend this tour to tourists and Seattleites alike.

I only wish the tour was longer. But boy did we learn a lot. The waiting area was very entertaining, was glad we got there early to explore the goodies in the lobby. The small group size gave us the ability to hear everything the guide was explaining. The guide was both entertaining and informative, he appears to really enjoy his job and sharing information. The price was right as well.

Really fun informative tour, our Guide was Richard, he was great, and the groups are way smaller then the major touristy one, so defiantly a better feel having done both. Worth it. There is mold in the underground as people mentioned, and I have allergies, but I toughed it out, not really the tours fault, just a FYI. I toughed it out, and it was worth it. Just something to be aware of.

Lets talk about Richard. Richard... Where do I begin? Richards tour is better than whatever other tours youve seen. He has the keys that unlock secrets. I want to sleep to the sound of Richards voice. His voice sounds like the dos equis man - the most interesting tour in the world. Also, Richard knows all. We experienced 10,000 years of history in one hour. Long live Richard!

Jim was a gem. He included Native American history as well as the history of the city settlers. He used to work for the other company, so he has decades of experience. He also has a background in acting, so he was an excellent speaker and made the stories very interesting. Im not a history buff and Ive been on the other companys tour, but I really enjoyed it.

This was as just as educational as it was entertaining. Great guides with tons of knowledge. Jim even found us after our tour was complete to report that someone from our group left a cell phone. Her asked us to let them know if we saw them and then stood at a central location to try to find them. What great customer service!

We had a great time. The tour was small in number which kept it nice and personal. I highly recommend this one. The staff was really kind and the historical jaunt through, and under, Pioneer Square was so cool. We took the "adult" tour which revealed the truer, less PG, history of the Emerald City.

Since we arent from the Seattle area, we didnt know how good this tour would be. But we had a fantastic guide, Jim, who is extremely informative, very entertaining, and passionate about the history he shares. We wouldnt hesitate for a moment to recommend it to anybody. Well worth the time!

I love that these guys dont go overboard about the indiscreet past of Seattle, and I love that they arent yelling at you all the time because the groups are too large. Perfect group size, they focus more on the history and architecture of the early days in the city and do it in a fun way.

This tour was fantastic, thanks to our witty and knowledgeable guide, Jim. I have taken the Bill Spiedle tour and I enjoyed it much more. Jim is really good at what he does and I hope that many more people will get to experience his awesome energy. Thanks, Jim!

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour is super educating and really shows why Seattle is unique. Totally must-visit, especially considering it doesnt take long, about 1 hour max. It is not about undergrounds, its about the history of the city.

Fun and informative tour. They limit the size of their groups, which is nice. Warning, if you have any issues with breathing, you may want to avoid the tour. A lot of people were sneezing and a couple were coughing during the tour; it is underground after all.

Great informative tour. Very friendly people. Looked after us on price for 2 adults and 3 kids. Our twin 4yo boys and 8yo daughter enjoyed it too. Thumbs up to these guys. Highly recommended if you want to know more about Seattle than the Space Needle

I was surprised! I have done the Underground your but this one is Waaayyy better. These guys do not panhandle you for tips after the tour. You are not pressured and will not make you feel awkward. My guide, Richard is very knowledgeable and witty.

Great tour! Dave was a knowledgeable tour guide and very engaging. I overheard another participant in our group saying how much better this tour was than the cheesy Underground Tour. Beneath the Streets is definitely a hidden gem!

Our guide Jim Gall was informative, funny and engaging. The tour provides a lot of info about Seattles history and its interesting to see the original street level, shops, retaining walls and skylights. Highly recommended for all!

It was interesting, it was not GREAT, but it most certainly was not boring, dont expect any ghost tells, but rather a very interesting history lesson about Seattle. The company its self was great!!! And the service was perfect.

Seattle does have an interesting history and the guide was very knowledgeable. But the sights were average and the tour was brief. Having gone on a number of city tours I didnt find this one any more than average.

I love the history of Seattle. Other than the part where they stole the land of the natives...its great American history! Our guide Richard was funny and really knew his history. Fyi child friendly tour.

Tour guide was amazing and taught us a lot about the history of Seattle. He was also hilarious. Nothing ever felt boring, and I feel I learned a lot more interesting history than I was expecting.
