This is a fun golf course that will challenge the short game of any serious player, yet the nicely laid out tee boxes allow you to tailor the course to your skill level. Hitting from the blue tees is a challenge, with only two holes being what I would call easy, (the first and third). The thing that makes the course challenging is the elevation changes, lots of downhill and uphill holes, and a ton of trees with branches crowding even the most well thought out flight plan. The downside is that course is sometimes not very well maintained, so be prepared to walk through some mud. The driving range is nice, and you get a full large bucket of balls for 5 bucks (2 tokens) You can get the driving range tokens at the Whidbey Coffee stand at Kens Korner. Im a pretty decent player, and Ive only birdied a hole on this course 9 times.

For your short game, this a fun & challenging course. Is it a bit rough? Sure! It is NOT a manicured CC. This is where you encounter tilted greens, lots of rough and interesting water hazards. Carry your own beer and laugh a lot.

Stay away from my course on quiet Whidbey Island. It may not be meticulously maintained but it is an extremely pleasant setting for casual golf. Beer also helps.
