Been bowling here for 14 years, so I am pretty familiar with the place and the folks who work here. The prices are competitive (compared to other cities since this is the only bowling center in town). I always take advantage of the weekly dollar a game special as well as the summer bowl all you want for $10 special. Coupons are available online as well. I know sometimes the staff seems a bit stressed but considering how busy it can get, I can understand why they not always at their best. I read complaints about cleanliness, but frankly, it just depends. On busy summer days, with lots of kids in, the customers can leave the place messy and make it hard to keep the bowling center sparkling clean 100% all the time. I think the snack bar ladies do a good job, again especially on days and nights when they are really busy and customers are lined up at the counter. If there are any issues, I find it easy to talk with the manager or the marketing director. They have done a number of renovations in the last year or so to keep the center as modernized as possible. The only things that really bother me are other bowlers who may not be aware of the rules and etiquette involved with bowling, such as getting on the lane when someone next to you is about to bowl, causing a distraction to that person. One customer gave a one star rating because some teenagers laughed when his mother slipped--how is that the fault of the bowling establishment? Unfortunately, human nature being what it is, we tend to complain very easily.

I just moved to the area and was looking for something to do with my son that doesnt know anyone yet. We found Northside Lanes on the internet and saw they had a coupon buy 2 games get 2 games. Awesome! Well when I got there I mentioned the ad and the big haired blonde behnd the desk said i had to print it off..Iwell I dont have a printer and I figured since I mentioned the ad they would honor it and knowing I just moved to the area htat I am a new customer. Then the boy behind hte counter said it was $5 for cosmic and $4 for regulat, of course my son wanted cosmic and had no problem with that. We played 4v games and when I go to the desk to pay out without the coupon he said it was 40.00 and I said well I" only played 4 games he then proceeded to tell me it was $5 a game EACH which he failed to tell me beforehand. I didnt know I dont go bowling but once ever 7 years or so. Plus our lane was always getting stuck (Lane 5) all the time. The little girl said it would be okay and basically in other words get over it about the misunderstanding. I feel like I got reemed!!!!

Toddler friendly! They dont have duck pin bowling, but they do have toddler sized bowling shoes, light weight balls, gutter guards, and colorful ramps to help kids launch balls. My 21 month old took right to it! They have a great snack bar with kids meals. The lemonaid, hot dog, and French fries were really good! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed, including a good time. I would call ahead before visiting in the day. This popular bowling alley has leagues going on many mornings and there arent many open lanes when the leagues are around. Id recommend this to locals with toddlers who want to have amy adventure with the kids :).

Been coming to this bowling alley for 3 months to take advantage of their dollar bowl nights. Cant beat the price, alley food not bad either. However, Cruella DeVille manning the front desk has much to be desired in any sort of customer service skills. If it involves work or fixing a problem youll receive an amazing version of an eye roll, exasperated sigh of annoyance, and reluctant assistance. shes even voiced annoyance at the idea of work and wanting to have less work to do. As the person manning the counter you would expect stellar representation of the company. If this is the case, thats just too bad. Would have a 5 star review otherwise.

With no competition in Winchester, Northside Lanes is what it promises to be, but no more than that. The food is okay, the atmosphere is okay, the facility is okay in appearance and repair. If you like to bowl this is a good place to go. If you are looking for a party starter destination you might be better to try someplace else.

I found the staff to be quite accommodating to my needs. $4 per game is just a bit much, $3.50 feels more reasonable. I dont understand the difference in shoe rental of kids $1.00 / adult $3.00? The pizza was okay, Ive had worse and a bit over priced. However, the kids had fun and in the end... thats what it was all about.

If I could rate this place a 0 , I would. They are horrible. The music is horrible, and the workers do nothing to satisfy their guests. I asked for bumpers and the guy said that he couldnt put bumpers up in our lane. I would not recommend this place, save your money. They food is expensive.

I absolutely love this place! During the summer, it has a free bowling game, free bowling shoes (if youre in a kids size), a free hotdog, and a free ice cream cone if youre a student. Me and my friends love to go here in the summertime, and its one of our favorite things to do.

A nice place to hang out too. Lots of lanes and nice crowd too. Cheap to the pocket as well. On friday nights and saturday nights, they have light shows too.

Nice cute bowling alley. Its behind a car lot and can easily be missed. Food taste good. Always have deals going on. Fun place.
