It states on May 13,2016 in the Suffolk News Herald that there was a survey . First , The rental prices are too expensive and the stipulations of not being able to bring in your own professional sound or your own security. The venue is beautiful but you can get a 2,500 venue with less cost and it is beautiful.The deposit is just way too high for a 500 seat venue . There are people who has the experience in Music and other entertainment that have the staff and the music experience to bring the best of the best. The entertainment needed to be upgraded to the 21st century and a little more diversified. The charges are too many fees. Businesses who entertain are in the business to make a profit not give it all to a venue before show starts. Make it reasonable ! ! !

Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is a beautiful building, but Darlene Cheeks who does the bookings is horrible. I spoke with her in January, my fiance and I met with her to see the facility because were planning our September 2015 wedding, she was suppose to get back with me within three weeks I have not heard anything. I called and spoke with her the second week of February, and she said she would be calling me within two weeks, as of today I still have not heard anything.This is not the proper way to conduct business, and I will not recommend anyone to conduct business for their special day with Mrs. Cheeks if this is how shes going to do it.

As a long-time resident of Suffolk, I was able to witness first hand the dwindling appreciation for arts in our community. The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts has truly restored the hope of bringing culture back to Suffolk. The classes are great and the staff is friendly and hospitable. The performances held here are incredible. The community outreach is beyond expectation, exposing suppressed talent in our citys youth. This is a truly amazing organization and Im thankful that Suffolk has the ability to experience what the Suffolk Center has to offer!

Disappointing. The class was not as advertised, they did not have the correct type of rocks, nor the rocks shown in the picture advertising the workshop, the paint markers failed to work. The paint markers and rocks were not in room at the start of the class and we had to wait for the provided materials to arrive. When we asked for better rocks they went to the parking lot and picked up more inappropriate rocks. I was so excited to take this course and it was a letdown.
